You need a patched ROM

Is this similar to what you're looking at/playing with?

Im pretty sure that you need to patch the ecu code as the standard firmware does not enable avcs in idle mode

These are only available in the beta maps section. Low RPM low load cam control might indicate idle cam control? I'm not sure

If you look at the max/min in those settings then you'd see that they have quite a range. However changing the AVCS map in the idle range does nothing. Those are for off idle.

Can someone post an example of the patched ROM made to do this? I can patch them to the other ROMs as well after I confirm ikt worked with my car.

Its not possible on EcuTek yet. I sent them an email regarding implementing AVCS control at idle and have copied their response below.

Hello Ron,

Thank you for the information, it looks like it could be an interesting feature!
We have created a task to add this option in the next batch of BRZ updates.
We have linked your ticket to this task so we will contact you once this has been completed.

On EcuTek, we'll need to wait for them to implement something like this likely via a RaceROM update. What OP did was debug the factory ROM, and add in a section of code which allows enabling AVCS at idle. This isn't possible to do via current defined tables in EcuTek / RomRaider... you'd need OP's patched ROM or the know-how to debug and patch a stock ROM yourself.

I'm just an end-user though (retail). I'd recommend someone who is licensed as a dealer / master tuner to contact them to possibly get more information.

Aye^ that'd be legit

BXRCHTR 01-02-2017 04:40 PM

Yeah. OP just needs to post something with more info for us. Please and thank.
