Update

A school bus backs into one of our delivery trucks yesterday while it was parked in our parking lot. Did $3000 + damage. Insurance called today and said the bus driver is not responsible for the damage. The claim will be made through our insurance only. No fault to us but could not confirm if it will or will not affect our rates. Anything wrong with this picture?

It depends on the severity of the ding on what action I would take. Our cars have so many body lines and curves it's actually quite expensive to get the smallest dents repaired. If it's minimal I'd ask for cash compensation on the spot. Anything more than that and I'd get their insurance and if the estimate comes out more than the deductible I'd claim their insurance.
