And not everybody wants nor needs track worthy. Nothing at all wrong with going for looks over function. But... if going for looks at least fill the bloody holes and don't pretend that you are going for function.

Well that's because a fair share of the RB setups are done by shitty installers in "professional" garages on shoe string budgets. I personally hate RB, but you can't discredit something that was done right. If you can't respect what appears to be quality (but still kind of bad pictures) work, then why are you in any hobby? I also said it has the potential to be track worthy, not is. Not that you need a wide body to track or anything.

A molded, properly done RB does look wicked though. :respekt:

Ya I was being all sarcastic and poking the stance guy's general attitude. This would all be so much easier if vocal infection and body language was involved.

boredom.is.me 05-15-2015 02:30 AM

I know right. I agree with you though. Did you see the IS300 that was kicked out of Quebec?

True. You did say "potential." Fair enough.

It has been a very long time (I hope) since I've said anything truly critical but I do strongly dislike the whole RB thing. Just a horrible way to fuck up a perfectly nice car. ...IMHO

Let me buy a brand new car and chop a nearly irreplaceable portion of it up so I can fit 'things' that were never meant to be.

To my knowledge, fiberglass to metal will eventually fall apart due to expansion and contraction rates. I know nothing of how long it would take to crack, but this process would be further accelerated if parked in outside for long lengths of times.

Yeah, that's what I've always thought. It's just a matter of time before it turns into a soggy, rusty heap.

Hey my Citation had several hundred sheet metal screws in it and looked great from 2 miles away. They didn't help prevent the passenger door panel from blowing off in the wind though. I am also pretty sure that at least one tire on it was stretched since there were no two the same size and I just used whatever I found in the trash.

My personal issue is the whole "I know not everybody likes this so I am gonna shove it in their face and then be offended when they say something" attitude that is seen so often. There is a reason why so many Illest and Stance Nation stickers and plate frames say "haters gonna hate" or "only the best know why we do what we do".

A lot of the so called "car guys" could use a lesson from the Kanjozoku guys. If you haven't heard of them, please look them up. I promise you won't regret it!

Thank you though! I really appreciate you liking my car

Dealership built it. By the time the accounting ends, it wont have cost $49,000 real dollars.

As a static display, its doing its job. Certainly gets attention.

While they probably dont post on this board, all it would take is one person who considers $49,000 to be chump-change to fall in love with it and its gone. Profit. We all know that those people exist.

I watched the video. NOPE, the mad camber look is not my thing.:barf:

What the fuck is with the Tampon String hanging out the back of the car?

fang_gt86 05-15-2015 01:15 PM

I'd rent it for weekend joy-ride.

That's not stance. I think it's actually a very cleanly done car. This has the potential to be track worthy honestly. (I am anti-stance in every way.)

It would be good to know things before speaking about them. That's how misinformation starts and is spread.

Yeah, as Tcoat was saying, I was just poking fun. Wish there was a sarcasm emote on here :)

If I remember correctly, in Japan, people who lower their rides use it as a test to see if it's low enough. Once the road eats away at the ring and it falls off, it's low.

It can't because the car is undriveable.

You're just a hater. The video clearly shows the car driving :paddle:

On the subject of stance, can anyone tell me exactly when the terms "clean" and "fucked" became interchangeable in relation to car modification? I'm trying to stay current on my jargon.
