You know, it's funny, when I was buying my car it was a tough decision on color. Get the Ultramarine I wanted, or get Raven so down the line it could be dipped any color and have decent looking door jambs and so on.

Stuck with the Ultramarine and figured I'll use dip for custom designs. :)

That's what's nice about dip, and the best part... It peels off :laughabove:

Do you have any pictures close up? Plastidip looks ok far away, but only so-so up close.

I think if you left the top half of the side mirrors black, itll be cool :P

or maybe some carbonfiber trim + glossy teal + black will look awesome too and a lip

Not a fan of plastidip after trying to take it off on my OEM wheels. But that is a neat color! :)

Perfect!

Peels right off......................bullshit. Sprayed an 02 WRX last spring and now we are trying to peel it off. Comes off flat surfaces that had a good coat fairly easy but around trim and windows and lights and on edges........holy crap, what a nightmare. Have been using a soft gum rubber eraser and even that is not much of a help, but better than using your fingertips.

Never again.........

If you're thinking about doing your whole car..........I'd think twice or thrice before doing it.

And it pulled paint off around the hood scoop opening...........

DAEMANO 04-23-2015 09:00 PM

1. Plasti-dip does peel right off if you put it on thick enough. Thin spots stick.

2. Love the color. The black accents and the matte. It looks retro-modern with an emphasis on the modern. Nice job man.

The color is not my cup of tea but at the same time, I like it! :) Love seeing what other people do to their cars as it jiggles this fledgling car enthusiast's mind.

Lets paint your car Choco!!! :). And to remove it they have things to help you... But if the coats were thick enough it should be easy.

Yeah let's not even consider ruining her car, hers is actually pretty nice.

meWant 04-24-2015 11:21 AM

Color looks good.. add some Top Coat over it and make it really pop

Of course you did...:mad0260:

I came here ready to hate this, but somehow find myself diffused after seeing the results. Carry on.
