God, I love you FRS guys. Seriously though, this is entertaining, from a BRZ/Subaru enthusiast.

Subaru officially quotes power at 345bhp and 332lb ft of torque, but Subaru's Dominik Infante told TG.com the concept car actually produces closer to 450bhp. "They quote it lower on the stand, but that's just an agreement between the Japanese manufacturers," he smiles. "In the race series they downgrade their power, but in reality - in this concept car - that engine makes 450."

Also, there's this:
"This is not a production car, and we do not intend to bring it to market,"

Concept Car -> Drool -> Back to Reality -> Driving home in my FR-S tonight is going to be a blast anyway. :D

Yep, completely agree. It's for torque. Same reason they use 800hp+ Nissan v8 for lmp2 and just slap on a restrictor for 500hp or whatever the max is. This doesn't even have the remote intention of a production car since they threw in a race engine that probably has to rebuilt after every race. 50k? For gt300 that might be off by an order of magnitude for just the engine.

The problem with that is that Autoblog uses us for a source, and we don't know a damn thing.

That is gold. Now I know why everything they write us utter crap.
