I had a few contacts wondering what our background is. Here are a few videos that show what we do on the weekends for fun!
I'm trying to convince the owner of this beast that we need a collaborative effort on a new BRZ - It would definately get out of control real fast!

Little Promo vid we had for an upcoming race to stir the mustang crowd up!

Sounds awesome! Are you guys running any kind of exhaust system too?

Don@Accelerated 06-06-2012 11:16 AM

In this video and all dyne testing provided to date, the exhaust is stock!

Very nice gains with an intake. Great job guys. With the gains we are seeing with an intake around 5hp and so far Perrin Has their overpipe back exhasut around 10hp....I dont see why an extra 25hp cant be made with I/H/E and a tune. Keep it up

Wow, that impressive! It sounds amazing already!

Don@Accelerated 06-06-2012 11:25 AM

We are as well seeing similar gains. The exhaust system I'm making is modular and has 2 different variations based on how loud you would like it to be. I'll be moving into discussing that in the next few days to come as well as releasing pictures and pricing for the intake systems.

Any plans for a header??

Don@Accelerated 06-06-2012 11:31 AM

Most likely. However until we can eliminate CEL's there is not much use for one.

MD automotive did a dyno on a a stock fr-s and it made 173@7000rpm's
Every motor is different and can vary on hp and climate can play a roll
If there is no heat sheild then the short ram intake is worthless

I can assure you that I approach all interests with integrity. You will never get some undocumented claims from me that do not have my word backing them. Ask any customer i've had over the years. If I say the car will do this, it will.

My goal as of now is to build into the staged packages just like we have with other vehicles. I don't see any reason why I wouldn't have turbo variations in the short future. Obviously then, we will be going inside these engines. I've been building engines for the past 12 years. I've done many 600hp boxer engines and don't see any reason why this boxer will differ.

Very well spoken, I applaud your chivalry:clap:

I greatly look forward to your contributions and modifications on such a great car and hopefully we'll see those awesome numbers you've been graced to see in the past. With that being said I don't doubt your abilities as a performance developer and will keep a close eye on your future post's and finds. Keep on keepin on :burnrubber:

ESBjiujitsu 06-06-2012 08:05 PM

wow im just seeing this now....lol, love the sound but cant wait to hear and the see the performance benefits of the longtube cold air :) :respekt:

Jordo! 06-06-2012 08:47 PM

Was the lowest value the baseline with OEM airbox?

DookDookDGM 06-06-2012 09:30 PM

I've watched the videos, read the graphs, and have but one question:

WHEN?

(take my money.)

KAB-FRS 06-06-2012 10:45 PM

I dyno'd mine on the same dynojet and my best number was 144hp/124tq at 91 degrees inside the dyno room.

I am a little dispointed at the numbers and will like to see what other people have to say about it.

Don@Accelerated 06-07-2012 05:47 AM

That is a bit lower than the normal. Run through the break in and put 93octane in it and re evaluate the numbers. Temperature has little effect on output w/ the software set on SAE correction.

Patience is a virtue. I'm not going to jump to market until i've completed my tests. Didn't have much of a chance yesterday to do anything and today i've got a 1300+ Motec 2jz on the Dyno. Friday looks promising to complete and release exhaust data as well.

Holy fuck. Sound crazy ! (take my money on here too haha)

86purity 06-07-2012 07:19 PM

Sounding very, very racey!! Can't wait to see pics!

ESBjiujitsu 06-08-2012 08:02 AM

any videos from the inside of the car driving? thank you the system sounds amazing so far and the gains look promising!:happy0180:

Don@Accelerated 06-08-2012 01:48 PM

I do have videos driving. I've got a plateful of things going on all at once and have not touched any of the videos let alone uploaded them to youtube. I do however have a video w/ the exhaust and intake on the dyno.

I am going to be releasing the short intake pictures and pricing this evening.
I do not think I am going to release the cold air version until I find a suitable way to not make compromises.

-Don

86purity 06-08-2012 05:10 PM

Drool!

Don@Accelerated 06-08-2012 06:45 PM

Pictures of the Prototype I've been daily driving and testing with. We are going to hold back on the cold air version later next week. There is not enough data collected yet w/ the cold air and i'm leary to move it to market.

The short ram is now available to purchase. I have billet flanges now in stock by the boxfull to finalize market release.

Intakes will only be offered at this time in a polished version.

Price will be introductory at $250 for the first batch sold. At this time we will also be throwing in complimentary Stickers as well. You can PM me to order or call the shop phone directly (419-474-7170). I will also be adding a new BRZ section to our online website for secure ordering.

Any question please feel free to email ap_engineering@sbcglobal.net

Very simple with no frills just like the car! Very cool!

slow_frs 06-09-2012 05:14 AM

Might do you guys well to post an AFR log with the intake

nix 06-09-2012 06:34 AM

Nice work on getting a product to market and I'm looking forward to seeing your CAI soon.

From experience I'm against running exposed pods due to heat issues. On the higher flow/turbo applications it can be worth it but I would recommend people hold off for a clean enclosed CAI or modified stock air box option.

Agreed, although dependent on the environment people will be constantly driving in.

Would really like to see a modded air box personally for every day use.

arghx7 06-09-2012 07:18 AM

Please provide data on fuel trims before and after installation of the intake.

Don@Accelerated 06-09-2012 07:36 AM

There is no way to provide trims at this time. I wasn't going to be providing the O2 Data, but if many people are specifically looking into that info I will. I've spent alot of time in the past few weeks to massage the design for maximum results. I'm afraid that those who do not have the equipment and capabilities that we have might steal the data. My design is specifically using a surface area flow design equal to the stock maf.

slow_frs 06-09-2012 11:22 AM

Like I said before, AFR readings it will Benifit you greatly how can we believe your selling an intake with safe afr

Memphis 06-12-2012 11:40 AM

Any news on the CAI?

Don@Accelerated 06-13-2012 08:47 AM

Posting the finalized data today!

Don@Accelerated 06-14-2012 06:47 AM

I'm sorry guys. I said I was going to post results yesterday. I quite honestly never got to work on it again. Hopefully I can do that today.

-Don

manonastick 06-14-2012 04:40 PM

damn that sounds nice

Zoomie 06-14-2012 05:17 PM

What does it weigh in comparison to stock?

Don@Accelerated 06-14-2012 05:57 PM

Actually I hadn't measured the weight. I'm sure its lighter!
