I stopped by Carlsen Subaru today to get a look at the BRZ. They had 2 on the lot, WR Blue Premium is sold and DGM Premium is available... at $1K markup, firm. Got to sit in it but no test drive. Sales guy did put in the key and fired it up, so I could see it had 10 miles on it. FYI the front bumper has been repainted, he said it was scraped coming off the truck.
It's been an interesting day, having sat in both FR-S and BRZ... now to make a final decision... :) |

I didn't really ask about the bumper, he just out and said that it had to be repainted. I did see noticeable orange peel in the paint along the bottom of the front bumper and fender. But I think I read others saw the same thing on other BRZs so perhaps that is a common issue/characteristic of these cars. I told him I was willing to wait until next year to pay MSRP rather than pay the markup... he kind of shrugged and said there were plenty of people willing to pay it. No sense arguing so we went our separate ways. |

Peircy in Milpitas had a Grey MT and Red AT this afternoon, I know they were calling people off their list to get them sold though.

Marin Subaru has a White BRZ Limited 6MT, as of this morning... lady I talked to said the pre-order backed out... probably cause of the $1995 markup! They refused my offer of MSRP. She said someone will pay it... I hope not, but there's lots of rich gotta-have-it type people in Marin I'm sure.

Putnam still has their argento MT available. They called me this morning to see if I Was interested in it, ironically while I was driving my argento MT. (The BT seems to be cutting in and out BTW, not sure what's up with that)

^ correct, my dad just sold the AT Whiteout this morning. They have the seats installed now so they're for sale again.
That Argento got an incredible amount of cash offers when it wasn't for sale, so it looks like it will sell fairly quick. |

Called Subaru of Stevens Creek and they said the white BRZ was sold. Guy said he would call me back if they had any others coming in, but I'm not holding my breath.

don't even bother with serramonte subaru, they had sti with 7.999 mark up and u know the brz anit gona be MSRP either.

I got my FR-S from Toyota Town-Scion in Stockton CA.....pure luck really....they got it the night before & it still had the delivery stickers-seat covers on it...... Got it for MSRP with a great lease...
