That ain't bad planning. That's just life.

Winter is always coming. :D

But what they use here in Pennsylvania is the most corrosive stuff I've ever seen. Used to live in Washington State too so used to winters and I've never seen rust like the cars here in PA.

Slightly off topic but: Its so annoying! They use the brine before or during the start of the storm then dump salt/some other ice melter all over the roads and it makes a mess of the roads and cars

Keep the car. Put studded tires on it (if allowed there). Have kitty litter or sand in the trunk. Shovel. You should be good to go. Maybe invest with body under-coating to help with the rust. Mud flaps. It's just a car. You paid for it ..... drive it. My experience? I drove in Alaska yr round as a teenager. Now I'm older and smarter and I live in Scottsdale. Screw winter.

Throwing this out there.

Trade in/private sale FR-S. Purchase a reliable daily driver/winter vehicle. Obtain a low mileage lease on a FR-S/BRZ to use during the warmer months. Low mileage lease should net you much lower monthly payments.

Similar standpoint here. Living in NY working from home BRZ was great, now that I am moving to rural Massachusetts...not so much. Dealers around my house are offering (if you call it that) 14500 for it. Even though around here they go for 17500-19500 according to every trade in site on the planet.

Subaru guaranteed trade in is only good for 15k miles...should have read that fine print. force them to comply.
