This breakfast menu though.. I haven't been brave enough. There's a dunkin right next door to my taco bell so a bagel has been the winner every time so far...

The griller?

Gotta agree with you there.
There's a place about 5 minutes from my house...Authentic mexican food, run by an entire family. $5 for a carne asada burrito that is MASSIVE.
(Maritza's if any of you are near Clairemont :) )

Taco Bell still has it's merits though. What would all the drunkies/stoners do without it.
....'Dem cinnabon bites. That is tempting.

Oh, I love mexican food. I agree; there is nothing 'mexican' about taco bell, that's for sure.

I thought their commercial for their breakfast was pretty funny.

Taco bell (nor any other fast food) has never had adverse effects on my digestive system. Then again, nothing does...

Anyways, I grabbed some breakfast items yesterday morning and ran back home to try them. The morning people seemed to be in a great mood and were really nice. I grabbed a Waffle Taco (sausage), Steak and Egg burrito, and an AM Crunchwrap (sausage). It was enough to fill me up good, but not enough to shut me down in a breakfast food coma.

Everything overall was pretty good (considering it's fast food). I think TB has done well to add themselves to the fast food breakfast war.

The Steak and Egg burrito was probably the most disappointing, only because it's 2.49 and for another .75 I can get a KILLER breakfast burrito from an authentic mexi place called Sabor, but it's 15min away. The Sabor "mini" burrito enough to fulfill my appetite on it's own and sweet Jesus they're so good... The TB S&E burrito had little steak chunks that were a bit overcooked. The cheesyness was good, but meh. I've been too spoiled for breakfast burritos.

The AM Crunchwrap was pretty good. The crispy hash browns and the grilled tortilla were great with the melty cheese, but I wish there was a little more egg. Definitely would get again.

The Waffle Taco was the surprise. Opening the box it actually looked kinda gross with everything just piled on. I expected the waffle to be soggy and the whole thing to be a little tryhard and taste strange. To my surprise, the waffle was still crispy on the bottom and the flavor was great. A drizzle of syrup and it was magic. Definitely would buy again, but must eat it quickly to avoid soggy waffle syndrome.
