I didnt get to log it, but yesterday after some spirited driving, for the first time since I've been on stage 2, IAM dropped to .86. Ltft is consistently at -7 give or take 1%....I'm more than sure the perrin cai is the cause so I really can't wait for revised tuning for perrin cai

It's certainly safe to run Perrin's 2.5" intake. It will just run a bit richer than the stock intake. We have an intake on order and will be tested it on our car. Will revise MAF scaling as necessary and release the info to those who are running it :)

Just got this from Perrin...I expect it will give you a good starting point.

Thanks for your interest in PERRIN! I'm including in this email an excel spreadsheet of what we've done to the MAF scaling for the normal size PERRIN intake. It's really not a whole lot different than the stock MAF scaling, since it doesn't need a whole lot of tweaking. If you work on the MAF curve some and find one that works better, let us know!

See previous post by "milhouse" for Perrin CAI scalling values

Make sure you have a copy of your original (unedited) ROM in case of problems

1. Open up your tune ROM in Romraider
2.select "intermediate" or above user level
3. select "mass air flow/engine load" folder on left hand side
4. select "MAF sensor scaling" table
5. copy in the volts and air flow values in as supplied by perrin
6. save
7. flash

Log and test :)

as for the IAM dropping that will be knock possibly below 3500 rpm.

log "knock correction" , RPM , engine load and see where it occurring

1. run better fuel
2. pull a bit of timing from the advance map in the problem areas.

i tried to get the romraider working on my computer and keep having issues installing it. when i get to the screen where i choose what files to download, the screen where you have to checkmark what you want to be downloaded during the install wizard, the next screen stays blank and nothing ever happens =(

you have 64 bit Java running. read the first page of the install wizard. you need to be running 32 bit java to run the installer
