If not email them give them 24-48 hrs to respond before you start a claim. No reason to blow things out of proportions! It seems they want to help and resolve an issue that wasn't even caused by them.

you should try reading the whole thread or atleast the first post.

Right. Well Shit luck, We don't want to do business with you anymore. According to the multiple other vendors on here that contacted us, there's no making you happy. So we're not going to try anymore. No more wasting each other's time. Please package up your Vortech kit 100% and send it back to us. It would probably be a good idea to add more layers of bubble wrap and packaging to the supercharger so you don't have the same problem we did. Our address is on the box but I will PM it to you as well. Insure it for what you paid for it. Once we get it we will refund you 100%. Also the pulley is being redirected to us instead of you now. Thanks, and sorry it didn't work out.

what vendors?
I order from R/T with no issues.
I received fake product from one vendor, and ft86 speedfactory sent me shit welds yet they resolved the issues.
you can make it seem as if its my fault you shipped shit parts and packaged them like an asshole but that is on you.
pictures don't lie.
You also asked me to insure it for 3200.00 but yet you only felt it was necessary to insure for 50.00 when you sent it to me.
what gives, when you send to customer they are on their own, but you want me to give a damn sending it back now?

I'm was referring to your newest post stating there was damaged/missing hardware.

Chase Bays 02-03-2014 01:18 PM

We insure it for less because we're a business. We send a thousands of packages a year. The annual cost of insurance is far more than the value of products we project to lose or have damage. These projections are based on experience of what we have had damaged and lost every year for the past 7 years we've been in business.

Just a trade secret the big wigs don't want you to know. Now you know.

Yes the package showed up damaged. We should have packaged it better than we did, and it was packaged really well. We immediately stepped up to fix it, as you stated before. But now we're cutting our losses, just send it back. So unless you plan on covering costs of potentially damaged items, just insure it for $3200. Don't open a can of worms here, the resolution is simple.

Shit Luck 02-03-2014 01:29 PM

What else could get damaged?
The only thing that survived your shipping was the damn pipes....

boxer 2.5 02-03-2014 01:31 PM

This convo should really be private @Chase Bays. No need to drag it out here.

This is my point. First it was just the pulley and air box. Now it's everything but the pipes. I don't want to go back and forth like this. Send me the tracking info when you send it. Thanks! Sorry it didn't work out.

Shit Luck 02-03-2014 01:53 PM

I told you it was more, but now that I didn't even get the hardware to install it why should I bother with trying to get all the parts from you when you clearly don't care about the parts you ship.

this whole situation should have been dealt with in private IMO, but the OP jumped to conclusions 1 hour after opening the package, not even giving the company time to respond and started this thread for the public to view. The irony is the OP blames "others" posting and getting involved. when the OP could have kept this entire thing private, then once the dust was settled he could post a proper review on wether he is satisfied or dissatisfied with the product/vendor.

if you don't want to hear the opinions of others, keep your business private.

OP freaked out when he opened a box full of oil and parts haphazardly packaged. He jumped the gun a but on the thread but CB says they will make it right. Everything should have ended here.

CB said everything from the kit was included in the original for sale thread. OP says a bunch of stuff is missing.

CB insures the package for $50. Wut.

OP says more parts are damaged as he starts to install the kit. Pictures as proof haven't been posted but I wouldn't call him a liar.

CB gets fed up with the fact that OP didn't just bend over on a trashed vortech kit. Supposedly other vendors tell CB that OP isn't going to bend over and play ball. Dafuq?

CB decides they want it back and want OP to ship the kit back insured for $3,200. WUT

I'm sorry but this is just the weirdest shit I've ever seen.

as of yesterday they offered that after i upgraded to a claim with paypal due to the missing parts putting me over the edge with this deal.

bakerr6 02-04-2014 01:12 PM

so I don't understand what's so hard here? Just send it back and get your money back.

I think it's funny watching this ish, as if you remember rom my original post, I warned of something like this happening.

King Tut 02-04-2014 02:37 PM

Buying a used forced induction kit is always going to be a risk. Generally the same care that went into installing it originally is not taken in the uninstallation process. Accept a minor loss in shipping/insurance costs and send the kit back. Go buy a new one and take this as a learning experience.

it is going back.
I wanted to send it back originally when i recieved it.

Shit Luck 02-04-2014 03:01 PM

however when initially contacted them through paypal asking for a refund they declined the refund and said they would send me a pulley to replace the pulley.
i agreed not realizing when i went to install it i would be missing parts also. the minor damage i can deal with, however the sum total of the issues is too much.
especially for what it cost compared to new.

bakerr6 02-04-2014 03:45 PM

yea man I'd say you have some pretty bad luck. Good luck with everything in the future. If you're still in the mkt for this kit, pm a few of the vendors on here. From what I understand, you can get a new one for close to what you were looking to buy a used one for.

What also to take away from this is to check your packages and make sure you received everything the moment you get it.

If u had pictures and proof of all the stuff that was butchered why the hell is he still acting like it was because of the shipping process. And who ships a 3kplus shipment with 50$ insureance? Gl id send it back and get my moola. This is just my opinion from what i have read. Dont want to offend anyone
