Bet they are keeping it in "parking" lights mode because the LEDs won't stay on with the HIDs. Same crap that the 10 Series had. Your lucky the 10 Series guys/gals found mods to fix this.

I don't know why they changed this for the NA market when Europe and Japan had both the LED daytime running lights on with the headlights. It can't be for safety/light regulations as other cars here have them both on (example Audi A4)

I was thinking it wouldn't show the black rubber dust that collects all over the rear of the car as much. Plus it'll match my helmet now! And long ago I recall someone posting that the spoiler is actually functional making a little downforce with less drag so I'm looking forward to lower lap times of, oh, 0.1 sec, heh.

Man...

I've been trying to get a hold of a Monogram where I live... I was just told that Toyota of Puerto Rico will only bring 9 units (one per dealer), only in WhiteOut and automatics... WTH!!!! Isn't this the opposite of what the Monogram is supposed to be?

Wow, that's even worse than us in Canada...we have only whiteout, firestorm and raven though we have choice of transmission as long as supplies last.

I feel bad for you guys ): but they DID say that they will only come out with 2000 fr-s. It's more exclusive than the 10 series which I adore...

Only a tad more exclusive, but that doesn't mean they should limit the options so much... to artificially make it even MORE of an item, but crushing the main purpose.

You got that right. I actually think its because this is an exclusive that they could be so uncaring about the idea of giving us choices. I actually hate that this Monogram is exclusive to begin with, its not even deserving of being exclusive because the reality is...the spec and items in a Monogram is simply standard equipment for most GT86s and a good portion of BRZs. At least the 10 series had items you couldn't find in a GT86 or a JDM 86 GT Limited. I'd happily sacrifice the exclusivity just to get the colour I wanted and even better, allow everyone the chance to buy one whether they could afford it right at the start in 2013 all the way to this car's end by 2016-2017. This Monogram would be a cruel joke to anybody who's either too young today to drive, not affluent enough to get one today or quite simply not up to date on their car news only to find there's a chance they won't offer these options again on a Scion version.

I ordered mine yerterday, a 6 M/T Raven in Quebec city. Can't wait to get it !

Congratulations! Raven is a great colour choice! To be honest, we were limited to the best 3 colours in Canada, minus Ultramarine, IMO.

Update us when you know your ETA. My dealer said we should know before Jan 27 for delivery time and price.

Yeah he told me he had no idea about when he would get the pricing and or delivery date. I'll keep you up to date on that. He did not even know yet how many he could order but I am definitely getting the first one.

I was absolutely set on getting an Asphalt Monogram Edition, but I live in Canada...

The other thought I had was to maybe just get an asphalt BRZ. But I was wanting a car closest to the original GT86.
Since the BRZ didn't get asphalt until the 2nd year in Canada, maybe this will be the same for the Monogram edition??? :bonk:

Monogram is a limited qty thing. Don't expect a 2nd year.

Scion will probably have other limited editions with the features you want, and more color options. They've had 2 limited editions within one year, what makes you think that's not going to continue. There is atleast one edition a year.

Or they will eventually become standard options on the FR-S or North American GT86 if Scion goes under...:bs:

It can be another edition called whatever they want, but it won't be a 2nd year Monogram.

I feel as if having them come out with 2 special releases in the same year is like rolling doubles at Monopoly twice in a row. They better not roll a third one or someone's going to jail.:D

Edit: Ok, I'm sure we're both saying the same thing here (there's going to be another release at some point in time to piss/please more people). Just to clarify, I don't believe they'll do it next year. I'd focus on their others cars if I was them...

Yes they get all options. However it has been stated that only 20% of the 2000 are MT. Also the colors have different percentages.

Any news on your pricing yet?

I just hung up the phone with a Toyota Puerto Rico (PR) representative and was told by Marketing and Planning that Toyota Japan assigned PR with the nine (9) WhiteOut Autos and it was not Toyota PR that selected it as the only available option. Guess we got it worst than Canada...

Hope everybody else enjoys their rides once they come.

What do you think I should get??? Whiteout Monogram, Raven Monogram or Asphalt BRZ?

Also, availability depends on location. All retail category vehicles are distributed to regions nationwide based on their sales volume. My region, Portland, is one of the smallest with a little over 4% of sales so we'll only be getting about 80 Monograms in total to be distributed between 45-50 Scion stores in 5 states (OR, WA, ID, MT, AK). Some outlying dealers with snow up to the rafters might still have leftover 2013 FR-S's in stock so will decline any more, but that still means that we'll only have about 15-16 6M/T Monograms sprinkled around the major metro stores.

The bigger regions like Southeast, Gulf States and Los Angeles will no doubt have the best availability.

I do understand that PR has a small market (right?), but 9 is an insanely low amount!

They're all gorgeous, I couldn't possibly suggest one over another. I'd be more concerned with nailing down your transmission choice, then see what colors are available.

In Puerto Rico I think they had 7 10-Series if I am not mistaken (Pablito or Luis can confirm)
In Canada there was 250 10 Series.
