Always red
|
If there had been a green, I would have ordered that. There wasn't, so I got ultramarine. No regrets. The next choice would be Hot Lava.
|
Red, a sports car needs to be red.
|
got the silver since the white 86 they're selling is pearl white.. if they did come out with a different kind of white, i would probably have bought that one instead
chose silver because i prefer i light colored car and this is the next best thing to me next to white :) |

Honestly I wanted hot lava first, whiteout second, and I think asphalt was my third choice. But the dealer knew they were getting a firestorm in a couple weeks, whereas they couldn't give me a date for the other colors. And once I saw it in person, I was sold. If I could do it all over again, I would make the same decision.

I bought red because i thought it was the most vibrant color and it also matched the personality and character of the car the best.
Fun, boisterous and cheeky. http://www.caradvice.com.au/wp-conte...front-side.jpg |
I got the pearl white. What can I say, I'm a sucker for a clean white vehicle with black wheels and accents!
|
Blue is my favorite color and Subaru's color is Blue. Whenever I see a certain car in Blue(R34 Skyline, RX-7, BRZ, Corvette) I kind of hear that heavenly sound, so to speak.
|
Sonic Blue (aka ultramarine and gbs) because blue is my favourite colour ever. I kind of have a theme where everything I own is blue :)
Also, white and black 86's I see everywhere. It's more unique, and it shines brilliantly in the sun :D |
because $220 more
|
I haven't got the car yet(I could've but I'm waiting for a Monogram) but I'm 100% going with a Ultramarine blue. Why? I always wanted a blue sports car plus blue is my favourite colour. If they offered a blue in between Ultramarine and WRB then I'd probably go for that, but any noticeable blue is good enough for me. My second choice would probably be red. After working with fleet cars, white and black cars are less desirable as white is annoying to keep clean while black gets worse as it ages. No silver because I never liked silver sports cars and silver is too boring in general.
|
I bought my car in whiteout because I think it looks the best and it speaks out to me the most. I've carefully considered other colors but always came back to white. And also because Scion doesn't offer it in wr blue pearl. If I were to do it all over again, I would still pick whiteout.
|
I bought mine because it was all they had...
But I also graduated from Syracuse University. So the minute they put my Syracuse Alumni plate frame on it, it was just a perfect fit. Syracuse Orange, yada yada. |
I took mine in today to get my chirp which now sounds like a woodpecker looked at and while I was there I looked at the colors. Really digging red at the moment.
|
I might just vynal wrap my car in yellow though.
|
Satin White Pearl (SWP) because it always looks clean, and this is my DD that sits in a parking lot under the high altitude New Mexico sun. Wont be as hot nor fade as much as other colors. Plus SWP is a three coat paint, whereas all others are two.
My favorite BRZ color though is WRB. |
I purchased Hot Lava, it's in the Orange family and Orange is my favorite color. I also have a Lambo Orange Super Beetle.
|
Went in to check out the series 10 when my local dealer got one in but couldn't convince myself I liked the color. Fell in love with the asphalt which was a 6MT. Changed my mind on transmission too. =D

Silver. I was between Silver and Asphalt. Asphalt was too dark for my taste. Even as played out as Silver is as a car color, I think it still looks great. Besides, my wife said it looked most like a race car.
|
Silver aka Argento. Never had a silver car before and it wouldn't have been my first pick from photos. Then again, neither was the FR-S. I was leaning towards BRZ in whatever they call the dark blue.
Saw the silver FR-S in person and was very taken by it. I think it shows off the lines better than other colors with the nuances and shading from the paint. They also had a white one in stock and that was a close second, but now glad I got Argento as there seem to be a lot more white ones on the road. Went FR-S as I decided in person I liked the look better w/o the black bar in the front (and less $ is nice!). It seems to stay relatively clean looking, which is nice and is cooler in our warm summer temps (100 or so). I would probably get the same color again. Previous cars owned: pale blue, purple, dark blue, dark green. Only problem I have is visualizing what color wheels would look best on it should I decide to change wheels at some point. |
DGM because I couldn't order it in true black.
However, having lived with it for several weeks now, I no longer view it as a compromise. It's a nicely done color that's going to be a real pain to match when the time comes... |
Honestly I think this is the only car that I feel looks good in any color it comes in (I love the Ultramarine color, and I can't stand blue on cars).
Asphalt was my first color choice; I love grey on cars, but there is a wide range of shades that grey can come in, and I rarely see it done right - usually most greys on cars look too muted or flat, but especially in a metallic paint, I think grey is stunning - although earthy tones in general tend to be my favorite colors on clothing, etc. I think that Asphalt / DGM makes the car look very sleek, and although black is my favorite color - besides being a hard color to keep looking good on a car, I like that you can still distinguish the black accents, trimming, housing, etc on Asphalt. Argento was my second choice, and I almost regretted not going with Argento after I had specified that I wanted my 2014 in Asphalt, and it was being built. Although I tend to think that silver is a bit boring / common on cars, the Argento looks fantastic; it's definitely the best silver I've seen on a car. It drove me crazy for a bit going back and forth between wanting Asphalt and Argento, and I came up with all kinds of justifications to myself as to why I'd prefer one over the other, then I remembered something a teacher I have a lot of respect for had once mentioned: "what's wrong with your first choice?" After considering that - I thought that there maybe was something to that. The first time I saw all of the colors I liked Asphalt the best; there were no reason or justifications I came up with for it - I just liked it, and maybe that should be good enough. The first time I got to see her when I went to pick her up from the dealership, I thought she was perfect  - even being all dirty from the trip. Since that day it's occurred to me many times that I couldn't be happier with the color, and I'm glad that I stuck with Asphalt. Also, Batmobile  |
I bought white because, well, just look at it <3

A Ferrari can be red, in my opinion every other car that's not a Ferrari should not be Red. But that's just my idea. Best color for me it's Hot Lava hands down. |

I did it to pay respect to the 87 Supra Turbo I had after high school. It was pearl white with a sport roof and man do I miss it. Even if it was a little slow :) oh and heavy as a truck lol.
But with my pearl white FRS I feel like it lives on. Before the FRS/BRZ came out I did not feel like there was any car that could steal my heart the way the supra did. But thanks to Toyota/Subaru my love for car's is back. Oh but my favorite color if I could have any might just have to be "Laguna Seca Blue" that BMW uses on some cars. I don't even know when they first started using it but I first saw it on the E46 M3 and man I love that color. If I was offered a free paint job their is no question in my mind what color my FRS would become :) Anyone!! haha ;) |
"Raven" ...because I love black. And the metallic flake is sweet on a sunny day.
|
Black and white are always classic, and look great when they're clean and scratch free, having owned cars in both colours I know they are rarely clean and scratch free.
Take a look at any parking lot or stoplight and it will become readily apparent why I didn't buy silver or graphite. Why buy a unique car in the same gray palette as 80% of drivers? Ultramarine is a great colour, a helluva lot better looking than the overdone Subie blue. Left with Firestorm or Hot Lava, couldn't pass up the uniqueness of the orange paint, I think they've got one of the best oranges on the market to be honest. I love the Hot Lava, would choose this colour again and again. |

I've always loved red cars. Every car I own will be red unless it doesn't come in red, then it would likely be black. Each car in which I had a choice of color was red.

Ultramarine because my top 3 choices were Ultramarine, Firestorm, and Whiteout, in that order. My dad's SUV is red, and my mom's car is white. Going with the colour that wasn't already on the driveway, plus picking my top colour, was just a no brainer at that point.
|
I would have gotten Ultramarine if they'd had one with a manual. Second choice would have been Firestorm, but again, only automatics, and it looks better in the pictures than in person. So I got a Raven. It looks good, especially in direct sunlight when the metal flake shines, but I've washed it 4,251,163 times since May.

Asphalt, because when I was young I saw my first exotic in a dark grey. I knew I needed it in my life when I got older and could buy my first car.
|
hot lava was my first choice, followed by firestorm
but i bought my whiteout off the lot when i saw it sparkling during the dusk light and thought to myself.. wow this white really is a nice colour for this car aaaaaaand now i love white (never thought i'd say that... EVER!) |

metallic grey's, whites, blacks, reds and blues are the standard colours for 95% of the vehicles you see on the road today.. and if you ever look in a scrap yard.. those are pretty much the only colours you see greens, yellows and other exotic colours are very hard to come by and had this car come in a lambo lime green colour it would have been my choice hands down for this car i may even wrap this car in that colour in the near future |
Hot Lava, because I like orange and I've never seen a color like that on a car before. It's so dynamic: reddish copper in the shade and highlights of gold in the sun. Mmm-mmm!
I considered red but I'm tired of red sports cars. Not that I think it looks bad on the FR-S, but I wanted something different. Raven would have been my second choice. |
I chose Raven cause it's a very conservative color. If I'm driving fast I don't want my car to be pin pointed out and stand out from the crowd. It's a pain in the ass to detail you see swirls and crap when you wash your car but I don't regret getting it. Plus a black car is boss :)
