Would you have a way of getting it across the border? They don't plan on shipping out of the states anytime soon.

Kayzer Soze 09-01-2013 07:00 PM

yes, i have a mailbox in Champlain, NY 40 minutes away....i ship everything there (its a warehouse and someone is there to sign for packages, unlike a PO Box.

but would still like a review if anyone has ordered from this company already!?

BII302 09-01-2013 09:46 PM

I believe that's what most people are waiting for

Bll302,

I noticed you still only had 9 people signed up for the group buy.

I'm still interested in this deal and will have the money ready when I get paid on Friday (Sept 6th), sobyou will for sure have 10 people by then if you don't get someone else in the meanwhile. I'll be looking for a 10" enclosure for the passenger side of the trunk.

When you were talking to them and getting your info, did they have a recommended 10" driver that they designed the enclosure around?

Thanks

Put me down 1 passenger side 8 inch

xxscaxx 09-02-2013 07:49 PM

interested in a 10" as well, passenger side.

I am interested in a passenger side 8-inch, pending detailed pictures and review.

That's incorrect! It can made deeper as mine is 3" deeper to accommodate my driver.

What driver are you using?

This is a really good price, hope that isn't reflected in the quality? I'd love to join the group buy, but:

1) No international shipping
2) No bracket/fixings to car
3) Some dodgy PO box address (do you really want to send $2k?)

If I can't get one, I hope it works out well for you guys.

I thought the same thing when I first saw the price. $200 shipped? Really? I see how he is building them and know that this type/style can be executed at that price, but barely! If you take out $30 - $70 for shipping and materials depending on the shipping location, at least $50 in supplies for the enclosure, and with at least 6 - 8 hours of labor involved you end up with a guy that's making close to minimum wage or less if he has to pay shop rent or wants to keep the lights on. This is saying that whoever is running the operation doesn't make an ounce of profit unless they build each one themselves. Sounds like a phenomenal deal for what it appears to be, I would just hope that the quality and thickness is there. They have been selling enclosures like this for other cars for years on Craigslist here in seattle, but I have never seen one first hand. Anxious to hear from someone who has seen one first hand and knows what to look for.

I like the look of yours, but it's just not cost-effective for me. You can buy the JL custom fit unit with driver for $500. Decisions, decisions!

My goal in posting here wasn't to talk about our product, but to simply offer a brief perspective on this deal from someone in the enclosure fabrication industry.

I will say.... I do appreciate your comment about the looks of our enclosure, and I understand if the JL Stealthbox is a more cost effective solution for you. The Stealthbox is a good product and a great deal at that $500 sale price. Honestly we never expected to be able to compete with a multi million dollar company like JL, we feel that our enclosures are for those who want an empty enclosure that they can fill with a woofer of their choice, even a larger woofer then the 10TW3, be it JL, something less expensive, or something more expensive, or one they already own. We love JL's products and frequently recommend the 10W6 and 8W3 in our enclosures, but we also feel that for the difference in price, even at $500, you can get a better woofer in our enclosure then the shallow mount 10TW3 preloaded in the Stealthbox (for instance even the JL 10W3V3 on sale). With an empty enclosure there are lots of options, and that's where we hope to fit in.

Sorry for the semi thread jack, now back on subject.

I am the original person who found this company and ordered the unit before anyone knew it was available.

Yeah. Thought the same thing.

Anyone want to take over the group buy? all you have to do is collect everyone's info (emails, size enclosure, sub info, etc.) Then forward it to them and they'll send paypal requests to everyone.

I might still get one at another time but I've decided to do wheels and suspension first before a tackle sound system.
