Yep. There was a line of only three people. There were only 3 manual trans in stock. 2 of them were already sold. 1 was Asphalt, which I believe Philz0r took. Another Asphalt on the way very soon. But I decided to wait another week or so to get Whiteout. There were 17 auto in stock and another one next week or so. If I remember correctly, I think only half of them were sold when I was there.

touge-n00b 06-01-2012 10:44 PM

17 automatics out of 20!? Fucking fail Servco...

Sigh-on-Rice 06-02-2012 12:11 PM

I think they'll bring more manuals from now since their next shipment has 8 manuals. I don't know how many autos though.

Philz0r 06-02-2012 03:13 PM

Yup, it was me. I got to snag the last asphault. Sorry man! I got a call yesterday saying the car would be ready on Wednesday. I won't be able to pick it up till Thursday, though.

I honestly don't understand why they brought in so many AT's.

palanilopez12 06-02-2012 06:39 PM

congrats to everyone that was able to get one so far!!!

I'm hoping to get a limited BRZ by the end of the year...just waiting things out

how is everyone enjoying them so far?

jimmillion 06-03-2012 05:11 AM

If no one has mentioned it already, there's a white FRS at a dealer near the Kahului Airport in Maui. I saw it while driving past on my way to Costco.

I think the few of us from Hawaii on these boards are all based on the island of Oahu.

But an FR-S would be awesome to have on Maui.

touge-n00b 06-05-2012 02:17 AM

So......none of you guys got pics?? haha

Philz0r 06-05-2012 05:53 AM

Sigh-on-Rice 06-07-2012 12:53 PM

Terrific! A Hawaii thread!

Servco Scion Mapunapuna now has two demo FR-S units for test drive (an Argento automatic and a Whiteout manual). I drove the manual during training, but I was surprised at how well the automatic shifts in manual mode. I didn't even set the car up in sport mode.

We also have a Hot Lava display car set up at Ward Entartainment.

Stop by and check them out!

Philz0r 06-09-2012 07:30 AM

Picked mine up this past Thursday at around 5pm. Got the asphalt as well. Very happy with my choice!

I'm down for any day and any time! :burnrubber:

Phil- Nice color yea? I love it!

Sigh- I picked mine up at noon. It was sitting pretty where my picture was taken.

Only problem of that day for me: they detailed it like shit. Making an appt with Sheas luxury detailing.

palanilopez12 06-16-2012 03:33 AM

just seen one on the road today on the way home from work...beautiful girl driving it...damn made the car even sexier!!!

markmatley 06-21-2012 10:24 PM

So by the way guys, when you order from Servco in Mapunapuna, and don't want the front license plate holder installed, you must tell them before you pick it up, and perhaps before it gets to the island. I recently complained about the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) workers installing way too many holes into my FRS bumper. Because they had a paper trail of my specific request to not install the front plate holder, they were obliged to get me a new bumper. See this link for my semi-proper response to some of the BRZ guys:http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...1&postcount=28

So again, tell them before you order/pick up, and it doesn't hurt to tell them you got a plate relocation kit. Cheers guys! Hope this is useful!

markmatley 06-22-2012 08:31 PM

Guys, I know its last minute, but I am driving around town towards aiea and maybe out to kapolei around 6ish tonight. If any of you want to join pm me, and we'll plan a start point and go! PM me your number if interested!

Sciontissst 06-26-2012 07:13 PM

Whats up Hawaii people!? Soooooo..... Im in Hilo.. BOOO. boring! theres a few FR-S running around. Subaru said there only going to have 12 for the whole year. Scion brang in 6 from the start. :burnrubber:

I've seen the FRS in asphalt driven by a chick. And I've seen the limited white BRZ in Mililani on Sunday. Another asphalt seen couple weeks ago let me squeeze by him near King and Keeaumoku. Car cruise everyone! Even for the ones who don't have theirs yet!

Yea, just complain alot, and tell them you told them before you picked it up...they're kind of obligated now to try to fix the holes. I talked to my sales rep, then the GM, then the PDI (pre delivery inspection) manager. And bam, now I am getting a new bumper. Hopefully it'll be here soon!

markmatley 07-10-2012 10:24 PM

A little more than $27 for the oil filter for the BRZ/FRS... wtf Servco! This is excluding the washer.

Sigh-on-Rice 07-11-2012 05:30 AM

I saw a white FR-S at Kapiolani and McCully intersection on Saturday.

Online, a few outlets sell them in packs of six for like 30 bucks. That's a deal.

And as for a cruise, I'll pass on that. I'm not much of a cruise guy.

Now if you guys want to come out to the Autocross this coming Sunday that's where I'll be! If you need help getting signed up or anything let me know and I'm more than happy to help! We need more FT86 twins racing!

touge-n00b 07-13-2012 04:53 AM

Follow up to the oil filter: Here you go, $38 + Shipping for a six pack. Beats 30 bucks for one locally. And I've dealt personally with this company in the past, shipping is reasonable to Hawaii! Planning on ordering a pack myself when it's time for the first oil change.

FML 07-14-2012 04:45 PM

FYI Revision audio has the eibach prokit lowering springs in stock. I'm having mines installed today :)

BRZHI 07-15-2012 02:09 PM

Just found this thread. My son and I will be driving my month old BRZ Limited MT from Hilo to HVNP, Kau, Kona then back to Hilo over the Saddle today. We're trying to put enough break-in miles before the July 29 autocross. He'll drive the BRZ (CS) and I'll be in my Miata (SSM).

touge-n00b 07-16-2012 02:17 AM

Ah, so you must be one of two BRZs on the Big Island, nice! I know because my dad bought the black one in Kona. I can't wait to go home (I'm originally from the Big Island) and drive it on some real roads, of which we have none here on Oahu.

And I'm hoping I can convince my dad to let me take it to one of the Autocross events there as well. I just ran mine for the first time here on Oahu, such a BLAST!! Seriously, anyone who has a BRZ or FR-S should Autocross at least once. This car was made for this type of racing. A couple of the really fast guys here drove mine and were thoroughly impressed. All it needs is race-rubber and it should be pretty competitive in CS.

BRZHI 07-16-2012 03:57 AM

Yup, mine is the one in blue. We had a great ride today.

86less 07-16-2012 12:08 PM

That one is female owned. I don't think she posts here, but who knows. I do know my car looks exactly the same (WRB Premium, Grimmspeed front license-plate mount, debadged), but I don't work at Pearl.

Sigh-on-Rice 07-16-2012 01:57 PM

I saw a red one with a temporary license plate at the parking lot of Walgreen Hawaii Kai on Saturday in the morning.
Parked at far end of the parking lot. That's what I do too :p

Stealth 07-16-2012 02:10 PM

Got my Argento MT in Kona as of last Tue!:D
