You know what Hot Lava is back on the list bro! I like it. Its going to be more rare... |
From the placard above... 'The Nurburgring played an important role...' Hmm ;-)
From 'first drive' reports... 'when you ask Tada-san, the engineering boss in charge of the project the usual, turgid, Nurburgring lap-time question, he just shrugs and smiles. He doesn't care: "This doesn't matter."' Very interesting to see it come in under 1200kgs though. To get a modern coupe weighing that little is impressive :-) |
Man, that blue looks great!! Prolly the best looking color on AS1 imo. Or maybe the exposure makes it look that good?

Gross vehicle weight is the CURRENT weight of the car. Gross vehicle weight RATING is the maximum weight capacity (including the car). So that car, sitting there, weighs 1180KG = 2601Lb = I'm impressed. |

No typo. I think acceleration time is conservative. Can't wait to drive there on Saturday. I need to get that energy drink.
|
All the colours are the same as their BRZ brethren other than obviously the orange right?
Most importantly the Blue is Galaxy Blue Silica? Haven't seen too many pics of it on BRZ's. |

Man, that Blue, under BRIGHT showroom lights is gorgeous, ALMOST as awesome as the WRB.
The problem is, Under natural outside lighting, that ultramarine blue looks a little Drab to me. At least the photos i've seen. IN person I can't say. The paint DOES look of high quality, lets just hope it's not like all the subaru's i've owned where it has thin ass clearcoat and minimal basecoat :( |
Thanks for posting these pictures!
They have a GT86 energy drink...that's pretty funny because here there's already an FRS energy drink, but there's no association whatsoever! |
I Love how the 2000GT goes 0-60 in 8.6 Seconds :party0030:

awesome, pix... thanks !!

That blue looks even sexier than before
|
damn scion, i want those headlights
|
I like the white. I can't stand SWP on sports cars, even an STI looks strange to me in the SWP. To me, SWP is reserved for Buick, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, etc...
I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. The blue looks amazing, Hot Lava, Red, White any would be fine. Just having the car is all I care about. I'll probably end up with White, Blue, or Hot Lava. Thanks for posting, this is extremely helpful. I'm so glad that they finally posted an official weight and couldn't be happier that it's 2600 lbs. That's huge! |
I'd kill for that white on a BRZ or FR-S
|
Blue ftw. Its such an awesome color

Goddamn. It can be pink, for all I care. |
1180kg is roughly 2600lbs.

and don't give me that "this is not drag car" crap. I was expecting way better 0-60 than a GTI for the 400lbs difference. |

it's okay guys, i know him in real life |
Is this the US spec?
the BRZ weighs 2,760lbs, so I don't see this car weighing 160lbs less. WTF? |
Thanks for the pics Hachi!
Side note... the white 86 is on a serious slant... lol |
Huh my Girl 3-wheel scooter can go from 0-60 in 7 sec. :mad0260:
|
Hot lava looks good def would get this coior or wrb on the brz
|
disappointing 0-100 time for me, 7 seconds is pretty pathetic.
|
yea, i was thinking more like celica gt-s / rsx-s numbers... mid-6s
|
I believe 0-100km/h is actually 0-62mph.
So you can take about 0.2 or so seconds off and its actually closer to 6.7 0-60. If it makes you feel better.... That's ok, its about what i was expecting. |
Forget the damn weight the car is light as it is. :) Did you guys notice the black outter tail light covers or stickers whatever they're called that covered the chrome from the tail lights on the race version? It looked awesome I bet a color match and just leave the red led and reverse un painted would look great!
|
mmmmmm, that Raven!
