Yes! I love the S13 for drifting. It's much more customizable platform and they sound a lottt better when you hear them revving up high and tearing up tires. The FRS is like a baby compared to the S-chassis or the original AE86 in drifting. I give it about 5 years until the FRS/BRZ will be at the level of the S-chassis. The thing that kills is the lack of aftermarket besides simple bolt ons.

i did fine in my sohc coupe with an aggressive cam and full exhaust lol this thing has plenty of power for what it is and just needs suspension and i would be satisfied. yeah 400whp would be cool but i got to remind myself that its a daily and maybe an occasional track day.

That was fun as hell to watch. And thank you, thank you, thank you for killing the music and letting us hear the machine. So many great videos are ruined by horrible blaring music...

The car feels about the same as an s13 with a stock SR. Ample to slide with. A proper suspension setup and this car spins 3rd gear with ease. Some bolt ons and good tune and the car would rock, even as an N/A.

Nope, I prefer to catch the apex the right way. I forgot the exact quote but it says something like "he who goes sideways has more fun than the person winning". With that being said, the drifters can have fun losing, I'll have fun winning. No offense.

You won't be winning much with 200HP and MPG tires.

Which is why we have this shirt:

Top drifters can also drive grip.

dem00n 06-02-2013 08:08 PM

Of course you need grip when your drifting, i don't know where everyone is getting this ideal that you need no grip whatsoever.

Drifting is stupid, you tear the car up and you're not going fast. Thanks for the link it shows the quote I was talking about. If I changed the tires and put a better exhaust on the car it would be a little bit faster than it is, since it can do 150ish out of the box that's a good start.
