Enkei Kojin 18x9.5 245/35/18 on all four.

FrSnake 08-23-2014 03:37 AM

So I'm clear, it's not possible to run these with stock suspension and spacers?

What suspension set up are you two running? Spacers or no? I'm dropped on 1.25" springs all around and very interested in the 18x9.5 set up but worried about fitment.

Trphotomediadotcom 09-04-2014 11:11 AM

Pretty sure if your running stock struts you will have rubbing issues up front unless you add spacers.

I have KW V3s. There is only rubbing on a full lock turn up front which may be cured by a spacer I haven't tried just yet.

Love the concave look of these wheels, seriously thinking about getting these after i get coilovers.

+45 offset seems to be good for fender clearence, would i need camber for 265/35 tires (AD08s)? Or can go with 255/35s too.

jruss 01-10-2015 06:58 AM

Hey guys,

I have a stock 2015 silver gt86. I am getting some Eibach Sportline lowering springs to go with the black Enkei Kojins: f18x8.5, r18x9.5. Tyre sizes might be 225/40, 255/35.

Will there be anything else I would need for this setup? Will there be rubbing in this case?

Help appreciated,

J.

pr0xy 01-13-2015 04:08 AM

You are absolutely fine on the front with 8.5" :)
Only 9.5" can get a bit of an issue on the inner clearance if you go for a 40+ offset
9.5" on the rear is also no issue at all.

OkieSnuffBox 01-13-2015 07:34 AM

Anyone tested the 9.5" on the front for BBK clearance?

hey man, I'm going to have basically the same setup. I have the wheels already. Lowering an inch shouldn't effect clearance at all and I have no issues now...

Thanks guys!

That's put my mind at rest a little bit.

Getting it all installed next month so I'll put up some pictures.

My last car was a BMW E46 330i M-Tech which had 18" wheels (cheap China copies - NEVER AGAIN! - similar style to Enkei's Raijins) but there was an issue with rubbing as there was a very aggressive offset, so I'm always paranoid about it.

That car is now scrapped as it just fell apart in this country's weather and it was from a dodgy seller... :(

Anyway, I'm UBER EXCITE about my new rims. Will update!

Know this is kinda late but are your top nuts tightened all the way down? That could be causing the clunking.

Yep everything is tight. Still clunking after a year. No issues besides the noise though. Just turn up the radio!

Hey Orlando, what are the full tire sizes you are using here? And I'm only using Eibach Sportline springs. Will i need spacers do you think?

Thanks,

I needed spacers with the 9.5's in the front otherwise they were hitting on the inside at about half lock

Yeah but are you using 8.5's up front or 9.5's?

My 9.5s hit on the inside at half lock like i said. Im sure the 8.5s are fine.

Just so everyone knows this thread is about the 18x9.5 +45 SQUARE setup of the kojins. NOT 18x8.5/9.5 or 17xwhatever. It seems we are getting people talking about other sizes in here and we can't be getting confused if people are trying to figure out fitment.

What sizes were you using? I'm gonna need to order some. I'm going to want to put my wheels on when my coilovers arrive. I have 9.5 as well.

Hey man those are 225's right? Looks awesome I'm debating between 225's and 235's for my rpf1's right now :( don't know which ones to go with. When I bought them they came with staggered 255's and 265's and those are waaaaay to big to tuck tire and theres no stretch.

I'm seriously considering these wheels and have a question. I asked the OP(Fancy) about rubbing issues and he said he had rubbing in the front even with coilovers. Is anyone running 245 or 255 square experiencing rubbing issues? I'm also planning to run 9.5 with 245 or 255 square.

jshadeck 10-08-2015 10:03 PM

Theres no way there was rubbing on coils (not the wheel/tire against the coils i mean, if lowered reallllly far then possibly on the fender depending on camber)
