Still no pricing information.... sigh.
|
Its strange when there's no colors listed in the brochure.
|
I know its prob not a big deal but is their not going to be a center compartment box? just cup holders? i personally would like the center compartment just for some concealed storage (rather than leaning all the way over to get into the glove box.) and of course as a arm rest :)

This is the interior shot of the FRS.
http://c819941.r41.cf2.rackcdn.com/m...preview-11.jpg Edit: Looks like you were right based on a couple of things. Silver dash trim. Seats. NAV unit (although the FRS might have an optional NAV). |
Looks like the weight increase about 80 lbs (2762 US spec) from what the JPN versions stated, and the weight distribution moved forward a bit too (53/47 to 55/45).

Let's think about this, they are all built in the same plant. You've seen them in Gray, Blue, Dark Blue, Black, Silver and White confirmed in photos, video, press release. They've confirmed in LA they will definitely release a WRBII blue. The only one that hasn't been seen is the red. You know the 86 is using Subaru Colors you know the FRS colors SCION just renamed them. Why would they paint them with different colors to make the price go up? Think about it. Interviews that were posted here on the Forums has already confirmed 7 colors. So with the highly unlikely event there's an Orange BRZ that leaves Red. Therefore you've seen 6 out of 7 OFFICIAL colors. Back track and read up on everything a bit.
WRBII blue shown in Auto Show/CES Dark Gray Metallic- Brochure/Official Site Satin White Pearl- Shown in Press Release/Tokyo Crystal Black Silica- Test drive Event Galaxy Blue Silica- Spy Shot from NJ Subaru HQ Sterling Silver Metallic- BRZ first Video, Test Drive Review Red- Unknown Orange- Unknown |

Take from that what you will. I'll try and confirm my findings when the cars come to DC at the end of this month. |

Looks like the BRZ Premium is just like the FR-S but with HIDS. Mark my words the Scion Bespoke will be standard on the FR-S. |
NO WING DELETE?

They are making this way to difficult...but at least we know what we are getting in the BRZ. Come on Scion...finalize and tell us what we are suppose to get?

I hear ya and I am OK with that but if you read the Bespoke presentation it sounds like they want this to be standard. If not nobody will ever buy it on their Scions. The Bespoke is more of a telematics system than a navigation system So that's why it might be standard on the FR-S. It's just a theory. Right now...I am leaning back towards the FR-S...If I go BRZ it will be the limited version. I see no reason to get the BRZ premium over the FR-S. It's also very possible that there will be a lot of options on the FR-S. Maybe why we have not seen a final specs and configuration. |

BRZ premium will have HIDs and nav as standard which FR-S will not. So there's reason enough to choose it over the FR-S(at least for some people). |

i think the scion's whiteout is a true white, whereas subie's satin white pearl is... well, a pearl white, heh... if subie offered the brz in plain white [aka: aspen white], i wouldn't have so much trouble deciding between the two models... for me: subie > scion brz > fr-s ...but i hate pearl white [subie] :bonk: i might end up getting the fr-s though, since it comes in "real" white and they are virtually the same car... but a SCION, really??? [no offense to anyone] i guess i can slap on some toyota badges... OR i can get a different color brz, but i really want [real] white... like my first and second cars, both subies, btw... |

Whiteout is NOT white satin pearl
jussayin |
Wait wasn't the weight split into Front 53 Rear 47? Well the Toyota brochure said that
This says 55 45 |

satin white pearl ≠ whiteout now, if the scion color was called super white, that would have been a relief; i guess we will find out soon enough... |
Does anyone else notice how neither car company gives credit to the other for helping in the development process? :) Just an observation.

We know Subaru will have the Satin White Pearl but we have seen only the TRD varient of the Toyota in Satin White Pearl. Other ones in pictures are just regular white. I would actually prefer the Satin White, so I'm hoping whiteout is Satin Pearl, but I doubt it. |

i'm pretty confident that scion's whiteout color will be a "true" white... i mean, just judging by it's name: whiteout, that has to be a pure white, no sparkly nonsense... imo, of course... if it does in fact end up being some kind of pearl white, i will go with the brz, probably gun metal... |
