Yea I know, that's why I said "reminds me of" and not "exactly like".

I still like the BRZ one and haven't ruled it out but now that I've thought it, I can't unsee it.

Where did you get your TRD spoiler? Did it come painted?

Do you know if the quality of this spoiler is as good as the actual OEM one? $289 painted is real tempting

Got it from Luis at Carson Toyota. Only comes painted in either white or black so got mine unpainted and had it colormatched.

I paid $380 for the wing I think, the paint I had done by a shop owned by a family friend for free. This was way back in July of last year though so with the yen exchange rate being better now i'm not sure what the price is anymore.

I bought a spoiler from them but for a different car, the paint quality is top notch and 100% matches the car color and the wing itself is as sturdy as OEM. I am not sure about this specific one though but if I cant find someone with a red OEM spoiler then I am going to pull the trigger on this one to be the scapegoat.

Believe its a scion tc1 spoiler

Vonsamhain 01-30-2013 11:36 AM

go with an APR or Voltex functional spoiler. Then use it IMO.

Just got my ings spoiler installed. I like it. Low but also aggressive. :happyanim:

I also liked the fact that there was no drilling needed. It comes with 2 clamps that clamp the left and right side of the trunk lid. Plus some two way tape in the middle. I put more two tape than needed to be sure. It is solid now I can shut the trunk from it.

Not entirely sure, but here are some other shots to give you an idea of how far it covers going forward.

I'm very happy with my Stillen spoiler. $200 plus $60 to have it painted. put it on myself. no drilling.

+1 for Stillen. If you're going for a lip spoiler, it has the best junction with the natural lines on the trunk.

Agreed. the spoiler tapers off at the edges to meet the body lines perfectly. Its very evident where your gonna place it on the trunk. the top of the trunk flows well over the top of the spoiler. I like the subtle look myself but it is more prominent than I though it would be. These cars do need some type of spoiler.

fitcious 01-31-2013 07:13 PM

I agree...these cars need spoilers. This stillen one might tie with the TRD one for me!

The Stillen spoiler looks great. It's understated, but adds just the right something to finish off the lines of the rear end.

I like the TRD and Five Axis just fine. I wanted something that looked like it could have come stock. The price was the tie breaker on the Stillen and I like that its no drill. My preference is a lip spoiler over a wing.

BRZPDX 02-01-2013 12:44 AM

Stillen looks good.. CF wrap that bad boy on a SWP, sorta like the C63 AMG rear lip spoiler

086A 02-01-2013 05:24 AM

Thanks! I got it from Japanparts.com. Be prepared I wasn't expecting to have to do body work on a new spoiler. ings could have done a better job on the mold. There was seam lines all the way around.

logoris 02-07-2013 06:20 PM

i say go with the seibon carbon csl trunk you actually lose weight rather then adding weight and you still get a spoiler out of it
