i haven't heard any news of Nissan bringing back Silvia platform. From what i understood Nissan has a 10 and 20 year plan, which included downsizing the number of platforms. And only 1 platform is FR layout but falls under mid-sized catagory. The 370z is the smallest of the FM-platform and its still a big car. Meaning if Silvia is released under FM platform it will not achieve a lightweight frame.

If they were to succeed in bringing out the Silvia, they would have to revive the discontinued S-platform or release a new platform which is highly unlikely with Renault at the helm of development. And build a brand new 4 cylinder as the MR16DDT found in the juke has horrible performance engineering, regardless if it runs a very fucking advanced head design. CVTCS/behive valvesprings/sodium filled valves/ect...

aka Silvia is a dead idea and i cant see any reason why Nissan would play with the thought with the Z still big part of Nissan's image.

4thgen RX7 never gonna happen /chat

What? Nissan Silvia, Honda S2000, Toyota Supra? Looks like I'am going to leave the european gentlemen cars and turn to JDM.

I am waiting for high-res pics, specs, pricing, release date, details on options/accessories and STI/TRD performance parts.

I'm not interested in a new RX-x or Supra or S2000. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE all of those cars but I could never afford one. Accounting for inflation, a new Supra or Rx-7 would cost over $50,000.

Hell, use an SR20DET in the new Silvia, it's still a great engine, even tough it's like 10 years old LOL it weighs ~328lbs

^ Forever, save yourself the greif and find yourself another car,

if your philosophy is no turbo no sale...forget about it..Your a power monger and this car isn't about power.

Its about road feel, emotion, returning the driver connection back into the road.

Not speed, not lap times, not quarter miles times, not HP, not TQ.

Now if your still considering this car, get the lowest spec possible, and swap a EJ257. Since your probably looking into this route anyway.

^^^ I was thinking that but the prob is that I live in a area where they do obo2 emission testing. And yes I do like a car with some balls. And this car has the look I like and rwd and light. But I also enjoy carving back roads too. That is what a boost controller is for. :)

Regarding the FT-86, I'm expecting full spec disclosure for both brands, but no pricing for the USA 'til the NAIAS in January.

I would also like Mazda to give a shocker and release the ND Miata.
