That looks great! Was it hard to remove?

How to use the BRZ seat heat button in this design?

It looks like the button will be cover.

Thanks.

A keen eye will show the area where the heated seats switch is for non-US cars and the BRZ was filled in for a cleaner install.

They're shipping it to me today, so no installed pics yet.

It's a one of piece made for this member. He obviously doesn't have the seat heaters, so it was a good idea to cover that area and get rid of the redundant seat heater plate.

Sure! That makes sense.
It will look perfect, if you also design the armrest for this center console.
Thanks.

Gen 11-18-2012 12:50 PM

Yes, exactly, they intentionally filled in that part because I don't have buttons there.

Not at all...the center console is held in with like four screws. In fact, in that picture it's not even screwed down. You literally just drop it into place and screw it down.

This is the easiest car to remove and install interior panels I've ever had. It's also very, very nice that everything is held together with screws instead of those stupid plastic snaps.

bulldog11267mad 11-18-2012 04:14 PM

so do you have to remove the dash to remove the center console or are you getting the dash covered as well?

Or move your seat heater switches to inside the console cutout, right above the power socket, as they look terrible where they are. 10 minutes or less with a Dremel and BOOM! They're relocated.

I'm having a lot of work done. Dash definitely doesn't need to come out to remove the center console.

We are looking at offering JPM customized bits at our dealership. Very VERY interested in everything that you're doing, and what you're planning in the future. It's the customers that dictate what type of things get done afterall. The center console looks great, what's next?

I may get some done on my car as a "demo" for customers to see. After seeing the pictures here, I want to redo my entire interior!
Keep the pics coming!

Thanks.

Total list I'd like done at some point:

Dash
A and B pillars
Headliner
Steering Wheel
Seats
Visors
Door Panels

Hopefully more updates soon :)

MiniGuy 11-22-2012 10:46 AM

Maybe we can help the JPM team prioritize the batch of items? My list:

1) steering wheel w/ alcantara at 12:00 and 6:00, perforated leather at 9:00 and 3:00 - on order
2) centre console in alcantara - on order
3) A and B pillars
4) door pads
5) headliner
6) dash ( due to cost)
7) lower dash w/ glovebox in alcantara - on order
8) e-brake and shift boot in perforated leather to match the wheel - on order

Alex will post pics as parts are completed. Should be fun!!

Your priorities?

3) Seats
4) Door Pads
5) Dash Piece (bonded into 1 piece)
6) all the current pieces they have developed

everything stitched in dark gray thread

It's taken some time. They had a line of cars to do and moved shops so I've been rocking basically no interior for a while now...everything is supposed to be done right around March 3rd.

Turbowned 02-22-2013 03:20 PM

Ahh, ok. Didn't realize your car was at their shop.

chenshuo 02-22-2013 03:34 PM

i think a CF will look better.

White64Goat 02-22-2013 04:04 PM

And cost about $6,000,000,000.00 dollars......that's with a 'B'. Please have a prototype made and let us know what it costs. Thanks.

To each his own...the only interior CF I've ever liked was on the LFA and it was used very judiciously. CF goes overboard very, very quickly for me. It's a little too boy racer...

Now if we could just get some aluminum to replace plastic bits I'd be all over it.

I guess I finally found a piece of JPM Coachworks I don't care for. I can see why folks would like the console like this but it's just not for me.

Honestly it makes me think of 60's/70's era conversion vans where everything is covered in shag carpet.

One covering too far....

Doesn't really look bad, just not my style. The plastic finish give a little more contrast between the carpet/cloth I think.

swift996 02-22-2013 08:54 PM

Interesting, I was looking at it last week wondering what some soft padded leather look like. After I get a few things done, I'm going to order some of the pieces offered. It would be cool if it could be sold as a complete kit one day.

This x100. However I think for the cost of actual aluminum trim replacement I could just paint the stock pieces with ALSA Ghost Chrome for much less and no one would know the difference. There's enough metallic content in the paint that it supposedly feels like metal to the touch.

I have been considering the Alsa ghost chrome to but from the little information I have been able to find it's very hard to get the desired result. I am on the marketing mailing list and they seem to have a one or two day sale every other week on various products. If the ghost chrome ends up on sale I will grab one and let you know how it looks. With the vinyl it,s cheap and easy to try stuff. Check out my current interior. But with the alsa I expect things will be a little more work to get good results. At the end of the day if I botch it. It's easy and cheap enough to just buy another trim part. This car is so great to experiment with!Attachment 29224
