I didn't realize how ridiculous the snorkel is on this car. Might have to pull mine out before I even do the intake.

The main driver for replacing the crash bar was this:

The beam also provides support for the front of the chassis, just like strut bracing. I can't imagine any scenario where you would want to run without one. Is it safe? Can't see why not, will wait til engineering time rolls around.

Was sorely tempted to split it down the middle.

I also use Meguiars, have for years and find the usual 2 step gives me great results. Deep Crystal Polish & HiTech Yellow Wax protects long time. Don't use machine so it takes me about 3-4 hours to do.

Noooo dont do it!!

Get something good like Dodo Juice!!!
I used to use stuff like Maguires till i discovered this, so so so much nicer, easier to apply, easier to come off. the shampoo is so good to use.

Also, i cannot recommend the 2 bucket method enough!

have they arrived yet? i remember on the first meet you were saying your knees were hurting, if they have arrived and are installed did they make a difference?

86drift 10-11-2012 08:57 AM

I was skeptical, but thought I'd try it anyway. It's far better than I was expecting:

Don't know much about cars other than how I like them to look and drive - what is it?

I use Maguires as well but have emailed them to see about getting some of this Dodo Juice stuff shipped to NZ to give it a try. Which shampoo/polish etc do you recommend? I see they have a "new" Dodo Juice Blue Velvet Pro wax.

It's an insert that fits into your gearbox mount. It makes the shifter more accurate.
Have a watch of this:

I am using the Dodo supernatural shampoo..
i have never used such nice shampoo, it just rinses off without any issues.
I got that, the Diamond White wax and the Lime Prime pre-wax cleaner.

Ill use the lime prime this weekend before i wax it again, i used a little bit of it the other week to get some tree sap off, wiped it off so easy.

I am generally not like this to push a product, but i have used sooo many car cleaning products, i got bottles of Maguires gold class and such wax, little bottle of the one above that plus piles and piles of other stuff and it just hasn't compared to this Dodo Juice stuf.

Just got some more info. Looking like it's going to be a 2.5" catback. Will be far cheaper than anything else on the market.

Hope to have pictures of the prototype next week. The first production batch isn't due to land for another 5 weeks :mad0259:
