OTD various widely based on sales tax - either sales location or location of registration.

To avoid paying tax in a higher tax state i think generally you have to take delivery in your home state which means $1000+ in shipping.

Maybe just post OTD minus sales tax & state registration. Or better yet, just itemize it here.

OTD total was exactly $30,000 for a '22 Limited 6MT BRZ. Unfortunately I was a week late and they were all sold out by the time I went to do the paperwork :(

US dealer markups for popular car models above manufacturers' MSRP for January 2022, according to a Washington Post article 2/12/22.

Hyundai +$1863
Toyota +909
Subaru +592
Ford +136

I paid MSRP plus $299 doc fee minus $500 rebate from using Toyota credit.

It all depends on where you live. I'm currently in Hawaii and only know of 2 2022 BRZs on Oahu. Apparently all the '22s are accounted for on order and the only way anyone will get a new one here is to wait until the '23 models drop. Can't wait to get home to Texas where things are more reasonable. Though I'm not planning on replacing my '15 FR-S.

Some of the '22s I've seen recently are going for $48K which is absolutely ridiculous. That's touching used Supra numbers.

I'm paying $29,800 for a premium 6speed Neptune (with ppf, rear bumper applique, homelink mirror and floor mats (+299 doc fee and state tax)) - but that's through the Toyota Employee/Vendor purchase program. I'm hoping to get the $500 rebate by financing through Toyota but we will see.

My order status says she landed at port on Monday (not sure which one) but don't expect her at my dealer in Cincinnati for another 3 weeks or so.

Has anyone wrapped their heads around the Inflationary times we're living in ? On top of that, how used car /truck values are thru the roof the last 2-3 years.

How that all relates to influencing the current values of the 86 /BRZ 2022 model year.

The first year of FRS /BRZ '12 into 2013 , it sounds like values were high, given it was a hot new car. By '14-'15 model years , prices cooled more so , so a premium MT was closer to $25k invoice . By the first refresh 2017 , prices did go up $1200-1500 , to about $26.5k for base /priemium MT . Release series /TS , different ball game, different story .... generally same car , but limited, different set of supply /demand there.
