Hello Kitty stickers all over, just like what I did to my current car.:party0030:
|
Other. This thing is getting an ECU piggyback program right out of the door.
|
I would do a catback. Thats the first thing I do to all my cars.
|
If the sport package comes with gorgeous wheels and good tires it won't be my first mod. If it comes with funny looking wheels then it will be my first mod. I chose CAI though.
|
CCW wheels, and coil overs?
|
Other than a sound system for daily use, the first mods would have to be a drop and a set of Volks to start off. Since it's a new car, I would hold off on bolt-ons for a while and enjoy driving it stock for a year or so.
|
taking out traction control
|
i've come to the conclusion that the absolute first thing that i will do to my ft-86 is to put a decal reading "フロントガラス" on the front windshield. that is all
|
Intake and Exhaust :D
|
1st mod... drop that ish! If the wheels and tires are total crap it may take precedence.
|
My first mod I would do would be a catback! Then do wheels/tires and suspension at the same time! I miss the sound of the boxer rumble =(

btw - if you take out the "front" part and hit translate, its the same thing. Love how that language works, based on context lol. Either way -- its epic. |

I didn't realize people still do that. Lol In Japan they stopped. |
straight pipe and cat back exhaust.

Stock.
OK, maybe LSD if they don't offer one. |

BBS just filed for bankruptcy because there are a lot of knocked off on the market. Even though Lexus, BMW, and other premium brands start using BBS wheels, it makes no different either. Damn knocked-off. I need CNC first. |
looks like they're restructuring, not disappearing. phew! :)

The first thing I'm going to do when I get my FT-86 is put my Holset boosted 3SGTE in it. I don't really care what its going to take to do it. I absolutely hate Subaru flat 4's. I think they are one of the most unreliable motors to deal with when modding (Subaru guys don't even bother hitting me with your "They're super reliable/best motors ever built garbage", they are a hit or miss - most of the time a super miss.)
We're building a V8 Turbo Corolla right now, I don't think the FT-86 should be too hard to do, the hardest part is going to be the wiring, but even then I have a full AEM EMS to run the car off of. - http://www.worksterautoworks.com/Wor...r_Journal.html The Donor Car : http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._5730502_n.jpg The Donor Motor: http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._5243529_n.jpg Unless my mind changes by the time this thing actually comes out, I'm set on doing this. |
You have more money than I do if you're doing all that :P seems like a waste to the MR-2 instead of seeing what the flat-4 can do in the car.

enjoi - what engine would you put back into the MR2?? |
This is speculation, but in light of the Toyota "sticky pedal" thing I'm worried that they'll have the brake pedal and gas pedal far apart... so that bad drivers don't mistake one for the other. In that case the first mod will be a wider brake pedal for heel and toe =P

Enjoi, you just struck a nerve in Ichi... No wonder why my buddy was so quick to sell his 400hp 07 STi with stock internals! |

I do agree that boxer engine is very picky engine. Need to tune it right way or you just gonna get screwed over... but that's the reason why I like boxer engine. Those ppl that thinks just adding bigger turbo/FMIC/exhaust is the one complaining about boxer engine is crap. Real boxer engine fan know how & what need to be done w boxer engine and how strong it is. I don't care he pull out boxer engine and put 3S or whatever in this car and need to cut out the hood cuz it's hitting the engine... or putting v8 turbo in corolla and change it into low end tq pig. BUT I do care that hearing those kind of BS from someone that haven't fully worked on boxer engine is complaining about how POS the engine is. Correct me if I'm wrong, enjoi... actually don't. It's waste my time reading it. |

Don't forget that Toyota helps building the engine. And people who don't like the engine shouldn't be here, honestly. There are many good looking, easily-swappable-engine cars, why bother going after the car? It's like swapping LS engine in an RX-7/8, it only makes the car less charming/unique. BTW, I'm a Toyota fan. |
