I hated the tail lights before the 17 refresh. They looked like cheap aftermarket lights (like the old aftermarket 'altezza style' lights on every riced out civic from the 90s), but from the factory and I think made the whole car look and feel much junkier than it is. The new ones (17+) look very appropriate and while there are some neat aftermarket lights, they all look very gimmicky compared to the stock ones. Ferrari tail lights look great on a ferrari, but if you try to make a brz/86 look like a ferrari it ends up giving off the old fiero ferrari kit car vibe.
I'm in a bad mood this morning and taking it out on tail lights...

I have the total opposite view of the taillights. I think the first ones were basic and simple, flowed with the body and suited the intent of the car. The new ones look like big neon signs and come across as pretending the car is something it isn't. They look more aftermarket than some of the aftermarket ones do.

I am shocked to hear that the car, as it was when you decided to spend tens of thousands of your own hard earned dollars (even if they are imaginary/canadian), was something you liked.

I bet you are a left twix guy aren't you? ... totally disgusting. Right twix 100%.

I like the taillights that my car came with best.
-every 86 twin owner.

Also, I've been noticing two things about FT86club.
1.) It's more active than the vast majority of surviving forums out there.
2.) By the fourth page, whatever is being discussed no longer has anything to do with the title of the thread. lol

I don't see how a 3 pack of twix is not directly related to 8/6 day?
