Note that those "forged" wheels are typically 2 or 3 piece wheels, so that they can accommodate more designs and cars, and can do "custom offsets" by just using a different barrel.

My CE28N were manufactured in 2003. A little surface corrosion but no cracks or bends that I can see. I bet these wheels can last longer than the car.

I always get the TWS and TSW brand mixed up, lol.

So niiice, one day soon when wife is working again....I shall have a set...only thing that competes with the TE37 in my eyes....

Cheeseballs 05-08-2014 07:24 PM

Think you could convince TWS to make 17x9 (+nice offset) a standard 86 size?

BTW that's the nicest wheel ad I've seen on this or any forum. I would have ordered from you had I known you'd become the main TWS dealer (I placed my order a month prior from Japan Parts)

It'll be a custom sizing order which requires a minimum of 6 sets to make it happen. It must be 1 size, offset, and color. Are people interested?

I may be interested in some 17x9s, assuming they clear the Essex Sprint kit.

Based on spoke design, they probable will. I'm contemplating putting up a feeler thread for the custom size.

The SSR GT F01 is 1 piece forged. No where near as light as those-- 18x8.5 weighs 17.4 lbs.

Already been working with TWS to bring the standard size over, but it's damn near impossible to get them to move their mentality. What we can do is develop a custom spec and bring that over.

I just received my 18x9.5 and on my bathroom scale weigh in at under 16 lbs exactly as TWS advertises. I cannot believe how light the wheels are.

My costs for purchasing from Japan Parts with center caps, shipping, foreign transaction and brokerage fees totaled over $3300 so get in on the group buy with CSG. Their price is amazing.

DarrenDriven 05-14-2014 06:44 PM

Merged @CSG Mike's topic = same wheel w/ same specs

SuperDave 05-14-2014 07:52 PM

Got my wheels today, they're ridiculously light! 18x8 +44 btw

18x9.5 with 265/35/18 Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Car needs to be raised a touch to avoid rubbing on large bumps and full lock.

Now, can you guys just get together and pose together? :bonk:

Ugh. Wheels are so impressive. It's hard to impress us. :party0030:

Do you know what the tire size Griffon 86 use?
Thanks.

I've seen it with 2 types of tires. In some photos it had 250/640R18 Yokohama Advan A005 racing slicks on Volks TE37SL. In track videos and other photo shoots it had 265/35R18 Yokohama Advan AD08R on TWS T66-F.
