All of which are reporting the same pricing.

That's not MSRP. That includes a group of accessories.

My tS came out to $35.7k with STI Short Throw, Cargo Tray, and Rear Bumper Diffuser.

lol wut? Your post makes no sense.

34.9k is the MSRP being reported by multiple people and the dealers they're working with. "Your" tS is 35.7k with 3 additional items... that equal about $800 in price, but you're saying the 34.9k I mentioned is with accessories?

Yes, for some reason a bunch of tS's have popular package #3 which is a $607 accessory package. Even the tS's allocated to my dealer had an MSRP of $34,962. The MSRP should really be $34,355 without accessories.

All of these MSRP's are reported based on what's on the Retailer Network Pipeline. It's unusual for Subaru to just change the pricing without an official announcement, so we'll see the legitimacy in a few days. It could've been a glitch since they intended to update the pricing on the 50th Anniversary cars.

On mine, I deleted the Popular Package #3, and added the accessories that I wanted, which cost more than the Popular Package #3.

Any idea what Popular Package 3 includes?

Thanks! So the regular tS comes with that nifty frameless mirror, but the PP3 switches it out for a traditional mirror but with auto dimming and Homelink?

Yup that's right.

2018 BRZ Orders Open. tS and 50th Anniversary Due April

More info on the Heritage Blue Cars...

BRZ gets 250 Units, which will make it the rarest BRZ color in North America (and also the easiest VIN-List lol)

Found on this blog.

Reminds me of the GT350 Mustang liquid blue

gravitylover 12-15-2017 11:42 PM

Looks a lot like my Atlantic Blue 06 Outback color.

sfdai0 12-16-2017 01:24 AM

ugh what a horribly bland color.

Bland is a good word for it. It's not bad and it's not good; it's just... boring.

Just a photoshop but here’s how it should look on the BRZ

It just looks as if the viewer or photographer is looking at one of the other blues on an extremely overcast day.

Will have to judge the 50th-anniversary paint in person. So many modern paints don't really pop until you get them out on a bright day. A good example of this is the Silver Ignition paint on the 10 Series. I hate the color 80% of the time, but from 9am - 11am and 2 pm - 6 pm, it's really pretty.

Maybe it has some great depth or flake that will save it.

That’s how I feel about HyperBlue hahah

Adam_L 12-17-2017 12:39 AM

Ever notice it seems as though as time goes on, prices go up, but in relation to prices going up you don't exactly get more (extras, performance +) in proportion to the price increase.

The '17 PP BRZ , or my RS2 is pretty much where the buck stops with this vehicle… at roughly $28-29k invoice. Otherwise, just spend the $25k , and get a base/premium 86/ BRZ in the color you can live with.

FitchAlcyone 12-18-2017 12:37 PM

I'm digging it. While it's no Cool Gray Khaki, I thought about it and put my expectations in check a bit. While it would be nice to have something a little more bold as a color, we have to bear in mind that Subaru is making close to 6,000 of these specials in total. While they may sell through their Hyper Pink STis and BRZs no problem, it may be a tougher sell on their Legacy and Outback folks.

yurikaze 12-18-2017 01:51 PM

Yeah, I actually quite like the classy, desaturated heritage blue, especially with the silver mirrors and wheels. I wish there was a 50th AE tS.

Welcome to the world of inflation!

MSRP for 2018 Subaru WRX STI Type-RA = $49,000
MSRP for 2015 Mitsubishi Evolution 10 MR = $39,500
MSRP for 2006 Mitsubishi Evolution 9 MR Special Edition = $33,300
MSRP for 2018 Subaru BRZ tS = $33,500

Less is more these days.

Adam_L 12-21-2017 05:26 AM

Yes, less is more.

I get the whole inflation answer/response , but even more so then that it's the manufactures comparing their offering to what other manufactures have to offer ( what you get, dollar for dollar).

Look at full size truck prices now, it's a scary market out there. $44k for an upper end Tacoma…..$50 (gas)-64k (could be diesel) for a full size pick up (GMC , Dodge) , or could be $70-75k for a Diesel with all bells/whistles. 10 years ago, you could get a nice Full size between $32k- $40k.

Clutch 12-23-2017 11:46 PM

Can anyone list the invoice prices for the various 2018 trims? Premium, Limited, Automatic, Manual, PP, etc?

I can get in the ballpark by extrapolating the 2017 numbers, but exact figures would be useful.

Would like to have this info as well. Not planning on ordering until the end of February, but would like to have this info when negotiating with the dealer.

If anyone has the invoice price of the add-ons, specifically the sti short throw shifter, that would be great as well.

spike021 12-24-2017 01:01 AM

IIRC invoice varies by geographic location. Someone from a dealer can feel free to say I’m wrong tho.

Veloist 12-24-2017 01:56 AM

If you want to know the invoice of a car, buy your own car dealership and you’ll know the invoice to every single car you have in stock.

Haha =p

It’s actually against Subaru’s retailer code of conduct to post or advertise the invoice of a car, unless it’s an emailed or written quote.

Edit: Some people have PM’d me with pricing on deals they’re trying to make with their dealership. I’d be thrilled to help out anybody who needs advice via PM, because I understand a component of getting a good deal is comparing the purchase price relative to dealer invoice.

Vehicle invoices are pretty consistent. It’s the accessories that can differ.

Great look at the badge / terrible look at the color.

Nice "milky" blue.

I wouldn't really say it's ugly. Just not flashy. Could be a good color for someone who wants their BRZ to be a sleeper lol.

Could we order parts from the 2018 models yet?

Looks like something that should be on the front grill of an old Volvo.

I feel like it would be in the same spot as the 86 logo on the kouki 86’s. Just my guess.

Can't make a claim for accuracy, but NADA has listed Invoice/MSRP data on non-Anniv./tS models here-

the real thing is invoice is just the basic starting point. So many other variables come into play now and the car industry has gone almost totally to a volume based bonus system.

All true and the real shock can come when you've talked to a dealer who has embraced volume more than another dealer. I ended up trading my '15 STI & buying my twin from a Charlotte dealer who, based on phone conversations with them & my local dealer, saved me about $1800 between the trade & the purchase. The BRZ PP had probably been on their lot a week or less and they kept their word on the trade-in value of the STI.

jorgerendonjr 12-27-2017 01:30 PM

Are part numbers out yet for 2018 MY?

^^^ I'd love to drive the tS on track with the suspension upgrades, but I wish they'd have compared it to the Performance Pkg '17s. I'm betting it's the same Sachs dampers with stiffer springs (which makes me think of RCE Yellows.) It's also $8K more than the PP, seems like a lot for springs, draw stiffeners and flex bars on the front. But I'm sure it all works well considering it was tuned specifically for the car...
