|
Sorry I m late for update.
Materials : - 6L Motul 8100 X-cess 5w40 Oil - Piggy Pink HKS oil filter ;) - one joint - a new Martian Green Air Filter HKS ;) - and my new HKS Hypermax SP Kit I had an oil leak. Not really a problem. But some drops of oil leaked on my belt and pully... It was noisy. So I let my car to GL Racing for a full clean, full Oil change, suspension installation, and a bonus. http://i84.servimg.com/u/f84/19/33/93/46/20160215.jpg Program : - remove front bumper - cut a recreate a new oil hose - total oil change : engine + oil cooler + hose - HKS Hypermax 4 SP installation - install front bumper - geometry - a little Ecutek tunning addon I requested All pieces : http://i84.servimg.com/u/f84/19/33/93/46/img_8311.jpg The HKS Legamax IV SP Suspension Kit http://i84.servimg.com/u/f84/19/33/93/46/img_8312.jpg Back Suspension http://i84.servimg.com/u/f84/19/33/93/46/img_8313.jpg Front Suspension http://i84.servimg.com/u/f84/19/33/93/46/img_8314.jpg After installation : front http://i84.servimg.com/u/f84/19/33/93/46/img_8316.jpg back http://i84.servimg.com/u/f84/19/33/93/46/img_8317.jpg Geometry http://i84.servimg.com/u/f84/19/33/93/46/gyomyt10.jpg My first feed back : WTF ?? my GT86 is like on rails. A lot more gripp in front. It's amazing. :happyanim: The suspension are like the stock one on normal road. But when there is a hole on road, dam it s like hell. I need to take care now... Last sunday, I ve gone Drift, at Lurcy Lévi circuit. No problem on track, it s perfect. :burnrubber: |
Looks like a nice setup (at half the price) while saving for proper suspensions. :)
Here is the European JRZ price list : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-n2...p=docslist_api |
I bought my HKS Legamax SP Kit 1200€ ... I sold my stock wheels+tires 500€.
So it s like I bought the HKS Kit 700€ Next change will be : - a new 43 mm restrictor (instead of the actual 38 mm) - Ecutek cable - Reprog / Tuning - Oil Catch Can |
Hi guys,
I'm posting some news. At my last exit on track last 23 march, I was surprised, in full straight line, to have metallic weird noises. Ouch ... So I slowed down. And without gear, the motor made no noise. There was an ugly metallic noise, only when I put a gear, and that I accelerated. There was also a marked loss of power, as if the pipe after the compressor was out of the slot... No oil pressure loss... Back to the paddock. Check: no oil leak, no water leak, engine idling had no problem. I found nothing, and saw nothing ... but no power. So I dropped my car at my favorite tunner: http://www.glracing.com. The diagnosis was quick : unwelded Catalyst inside my manifold. That's why the gaz can't go out, and the loss of power. For information it was : Fujitsubo Manifold Super EX https://www.fujitsubo.co.jp/prods/de...04773/00001473 I bought that manifold through Suruga Performance in japan. I contacted Mathieu Devert, the Sales Manager, and requested some help. But Fujitsubo said, that manifold is not compatible with my car & law in japan. And I have no answer for last week... So, as I need my car, I accept GL Racing Solution : a new "SUPER MANIFOLD with CATALYZER R-SPEC for 86/BRZ" HKS Kit. Code No. 33005-AT006 http://www.hks-power.co.jp/en/produc...haust/db/15165 Now the photos... The HKS manifold, the HKS front pipe with catalyst, and my old fujitsubo overpipe I use again... http://i86.servimg.com/u/f86/19/33/93/46/img_8611.jpg The big catalyst :D http://i86.servimg.com/u/f86/19/33/93/46/img_8612.jpg http://i86.servimg.com/u/f86/19/33/93/46/img_8610.jpg The HKS Manifold http://i86.servimg.com/u/f86/19/33/93/46/img_8615.jpg The front pipe http://i86.servimg.com/u/f86/19/33/93/46/img_8614.jpg the front pipe probe http://i86.servimg.com/u/f86/19/33/93/46/img_8616.jpg All well installed http://i86.servimg.com/u/f86/19/33/93/46/img_8613.jpg My car is dirty since my last drift track day where I flyed in a pool of duck... I need to wash my engine and below  Anyway, now my car is back to life and a bit more noisy for heating. When hot the Fujitsubo catback is still singing as deep as before on idle. And if I release the horses, I found all the pony and I think the gas out better. The sound is a bit more pronounced at full load at 4000-7000 RPM. I missed a track days the 4th april, but I m ready now the next one  Have fun :burnrubber: |
As a fellow "Hot Lava" 86 driver, love your car! :D

A big update since last time...
A lot of things arrived .. First of all, in july, on a track, I discovered that my TORSEN had no oil ... the screw was missing... :bonk: http://i97.servimg.com/u/f97/19/33/93/46/boucho10.jpg In middle of holidays, it was a big fuck for finding cars to rent... but Toyota took all in charge : a rented car, a taxi, and a new TORSEN : 5000€... The Torsen has been installed one month later... Yeah it was too lonnnnnnngggggg ! But I drive now my car. http://i97.servimg.com/u/f97/19/33/93/46/20160910.jpg During that time, I commanded 2 new wheels Oz Formula HLT. I already received them... http://i97.servimg.com/u/f97/19/33/93/46/20160710.jpg One week after, by moving back my car in a friend's garage, I've ripped below (dam fucking things in the middle). But I saw nothing... After 3 days, I took my car on highway and "bingo"... I had a strange noise. I checked under my car, and I saw that a protector was falling, and was riped on ground. http://i97.servimg.com/u/f97/19/33/93/46/20160810.jpg After mounting the cric, I saw that the petrol tank protector was dead and riped the ground. I repair it temporary. A new one is in command, and will be installed soon (normally wednesday 7th). I commanded too some Tires : - 2 new Bridegestone Potenza Adrenaline RE002 225/40 R18 for front - 2 new Bridegestone Potenza Adrenaline RE002 235/40 R18 for back I hope they will arrived wednesday too. I will use now 6 wheels : - front : RE002 in 225 - back : RE002 in 235 for track / the old RE002 in 225 for Drift until they died. :D |
We need to check that on track soon :)

If any Americans are interested, the potenza RE003, the newest version of the RE002, is recently available state side branded as the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500. (Not the "wide oval" that is a different tire)
I love your build btw, very well done! |
thanks Yelsew for the good news.
I ve found more information here : http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....Make=Firestone |
Sorry to hear about your trouble with the differential.
How is your new front pipe working? |
@Ultramaroon it's working better than before. The engine is breathing better.
Probably due to the Manifold is catless, but the front pipe got a sport catalyzer too. Meanwhile I bought the Ecutek Kit to change some option & do a regular check/log every month : I want to see how the engine is/breath. http://i97.servimg.com/u/f97/19/33/93/46/kit_ec10.jpg I have some PDF to read now ^^ My HKS belt is needing a remplacement, we will try to change it next week. I commanded too some new 750cc Ecutek injectors :D |
1srt post updated with all missing information.
I took my 235 new tires wednesday. The 225 are in late... I took 4 bag "Toyota" http://i97.servimg.com/u/f97/19/33/93/46/20160913.jpg Quick test : http://i97.servimg.com/u/f97/19/33/93/46/20160912.jpg |
