Tada has given his reason on why the GT86 will not be turbo. Here is that reason.



There ample (reliable) sources saying no turbo.

all the sources suggesting there will be a turbo model are all rumors and speculation (i.e. UNTRUE).

So until you have official word from Tada or Toyota, The GT86 WILL NOT be turbo.

Will the 2017 model get a power boost? It's possible. Tada did say that the FA20DIT has plenty of potential to produce more power (That's why they built the Griffon). BUT that can be done by upgrading the engine internals. Even with that said we can only expect the increase to be 5-10hp because the GT86 was designed to be a fun, BALANCED, car. Not a fast one.















Sad thing is, this won't stop these posts at all.
