....oh god obama hitler barrack hussein smith....

Another rumor thread hahahah

It'd be nice if they hit 260hp with 245whp.

Other than that add a V6.

...Wait...what happened to the cummins turbo diesel v8 twin in production?

The answer is no

Tada said no WAAAAAAAAY Back in 2010, He said no in 2012, he said no in 2014.

Tada has given his reason on why the GT86 will not be turbo. Here is that reason.

There ample (reliable) sources saying no turbo.

all the sources suggesting there will be a turbo model are all rumors and speculation (i.e. UNTRUE).

So until you have official word from Tada or Toyota, The GT86 WILL NOT be turbo.

Will the 2017 model get a power boost? It's possible. Tada did say that the FA20DIT has plenty of potential to produce more power (That's why they built the Griffon). BUT that can be done by upgrading the engine internals. Even with that said we can only expect the increase to be 5-10hp because the GT86 was designed to be a fun, BALANCED, car. Not a fast one.

Sad thing is, this won't stop these posts at all.

There was an actual press conference of a Toyota Rep saying that there will be a slight increase due to less friction in the motor in the upcoming years.

Curious, how much would a e-turbo really make? 10-15 hp?

How involved is Tada nowadays with the 86? Leading up to the release and following the release he was very vocal (tons of media attention) as a great source of information and support but what has he said/done recently about our cars?

Well every other day when motoring.au talks to him directly he seems to have loads of info for them so he must be still involved.
