Are you going to pay for their extra garbage? Or are you waiting?

Dealer cost is about 500. The Toyota dealership I worked for got seats from Katskinz or Catskinz and charged 2k to recover a Camry. I was never to fond as they were covers over the origanal covers, not replacements, so figment wasn't as good as factory. I wouldnt even consider them for my cars.

For the two of you in Irvine, avoid Power Irvine. Check out South Coast or Cerritos Toyota. They dont mark up or add any extra BS to the car.

Demand a wholly OEM new vehicle of your choice at the Scion of America MSRP, ask them how soon that could happen and have your checkbook in your hand and your pen in the other hand - you might get lucky.

Maybe this car got its wheels stolen and the interior slashed and thats why they are selling it like that. Just a thought

The OP said that the dealer is selling all of its inventory with either leather or different wheels. So I doubt that's they case.

It would also be very shady of the dealer to sell a car like that anyway without telling the owner of the previous damage.

I'm pretty sure you mean aftermarket upgraded wheels not factory upgrades. When I leased my GTI the upgrade from 17 to 18 including tires was $900! Hell, the replacement cost on the wheels alone were almost double that price! But yeah, never bother with aftermarket upgrade from the dealers.

Hate when dealerships try to pull a fast one by adding BS add-ons. Same crap happened to me from Miller Scion of Anaheim. This is the invoice that they sent me

Model: 2013 Scion FRS 6-Speed Manual Transmission - 6253

MSRP.........................................$25,0 94
Custom Alloy Wheels......................$3,995
Market adjustment.........................$5,000
Your Price...................................$34,089

$4G's for some wheels that will still look OEM.  Market Adjustment? What is the explanation for that?

How you figure? No dealer in the world is losing money on this car selling it at MSRP.

Exactly. My research shows that in Canada the markup over dealer invoice at Scion is aprox $1400. These stealers just want more and are being devious about it.

+1 on Cerritos Toyota, my salesguy was very cool, although I didn't buy mine from them.

Hey everyone,
Long story short I have been in the market for a new car. My local toyota dealer has informed me that they have an FR-S coming in my color and transmission preference. The thing is, they will only sell me the car with either special wheels or leather seats. I was confused as to how it can come with leather seats because I thought there was no option for them in the Scion FR-S. They told me that due to the limited supply they will be selling their FR-S inventory with either upgraded wheels or leather. Does anyone have any idea what these seats look like? Are they like the BRZ seats? Anyways, I told them that I would prefer leather seats. They are asking for $27,656 before taxes and license fees. Do you guys think it is worth dropping an extra $2,500 for the seats? Or does all this seem fishy?

that is fuking stupid. dont buy it.. with the car being 27656, you can have a limited BRZ with lether seat, seat warmer, HID lights, fog lights, spoiler, NAV, push start button etc...

rcm47 06-22-2012 01:12 PM

I still wanna see what these leather seats look like. That one salesman that used to go on here a lot was supposed to show us a picture of it but never heared from him since we bashed his dealership.
