Again - I'm not talking about plasti-dipping my entire car. just little things... :bonk:

I know a damn good vinyl guy in Charlotte. You should go that route instead. Plus a ton more color options.

Most if not all plasti-dip looks pretty bad. Auto-Dip, is a new substance and I feel it should serve the same purpose as plasti-dip but with a more higher gloss finish. I considered using the Auto-Dip for a gloss black roof on my whiteout but I will be doing vinyl instead for durability.

This stuff is gonna be cool. See my crappy cellphone picture of my autodipped wheel. Don't mind the overspray on the tire, it was dark and I was anxious to try this stuff out. The overspray is no longer present. I plan to use this stuff on some of the interior trim pieces as well (color undecided).

Obviously whoever sprayed that Audi did a horrid job with the prep work. If you saw a paint job with bad prep work, would you say all automotive paint was terrible? No

Plastidip has it's place, and there's plenty of professionals out there who do a great job with it, but the rattle can plastidip usually turns out poorly.

If you are doing an emblem black that's one thing, but doing too many bits and pieces here and there starts looking trashy real fast IMO.

The new top coat stuff they've come out with seems to help with the "texture" issue from what I've seen:

Same thing goes for Vinyl, a terrible install will make the vinyl look terrible. An incredible vinyl install will make the car look great

Ours was professionally done by Vinyl Images here in St. Louis and looks like paint
