Obviously whoever sprayed that Audi did a horrid job with the prep work. If you saw a paint job with bad prep work, would you say all automotive paint was terrible? No
Plastidip has it's place, and there's plenty of professionals out there who do a great job with it, but the rattle can plastidip usually turns out poorly. If you are doing an emblem black that's one thing, but doing too many bits and pieces here and there starts looking trashy real fast IMO. The new top coat stuff they've come out with seems to help with the "texture" issue from what I've seen: http://www.dipyourcar.com/skin/commo...C_0892%202.jpg Same thing goes for Vinyl, a terrible install will make the vinyl look terrible. An incredible vinyl install will make the car look great http://www.diodedynamics.com/images/...32994491_o.jpg Ours was professionally done by Vinyl Images here in St. Louis and looks like paint Nick C. |
