This is what I get for being on the forums while I'm at work.

Ya, I know how that goes ....... I get distracted by the baby needing changing (especially with the pooie diapers) or the baby needing a bottle or having to run to the grocery to get more baby food or ........oh yes ma-ma does most of it but I help out.

Multi-tasking is not my strong suit ...... I find single tasking hard enough .....:bonk:

bump. Does anybody know what the red clip controls? I need to replace that part. Mine was pinched during a clutch install and I am having a hard time figuring out what it controls and what it is even called.

Neutral switch

The pic doesn't work for me

Is it because I'm white?

Haha... maybe. It doesn't work for me from my work connection either. That's weird.

Click the readme on my sig. Repair manual > Drivetrain > tl70 manual transmission > Neutral position switch

Edit: oh! Now it loaded because I navigated to the page. Meh. ok.

So the OP's car is actually my car.

He ended up hardwiring the wires straight across which wasn't great imo. I ended up replacing the reverse sensor (black plug) and finding the right pigtail for the other side (same as 240sx speed sensor plug that you can buy from Wiring Specialities) and wiring it all in like OEM.

I was losing the R indicator and backup cam with the old reverse switch. Thought it was the wiring but turns out it was the sensor itself.

I have the same problem, but those rats ate mine wires. I'm getting my engine fix from the dealership because of the recall. While the technician was fixing, he came across these wires chewed. He told me that it's the neutral and backup switch. So if the black clip is the backup switch, then I suspect that the red clip is the neutral switch.

I have this same issue, however, the problem for me, is that the end on my reverse light switch has been rubbed down. When the reverse gear is engaged, it's not sinking the switch down enough to trigger the reverse light/camera.

So I need a new switch overall. Does anyone know where I can order one of these?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...835c744af9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...79eb5cd19c.jpg

Are you not able to order parts through a dealer there?
