Oh sh*t :( hope you get that fixed up soon, do you have a dashcam installed?

If you were on Staten Island...then I'd say Richmond View auto collision on Forest ave. Though I believe you mentioned in one of your posts that you're in Queens.

Anyways shit dude....that was certainly no love tap lol just as long as everyone involved is okay.

Very sorry for that, and what an asshole to just drive away smh... is your insure going to cover the repair?

Maybe get the paint from the dealer so make sure that it matches the color.

The old and new WRBs have different alpha-numerical paint codes. The body shop will go by the paint code, not by the name of the color. The paint code is on the label on the car itself. The only way they'll get it confused is if they're completely incompetent, in which case the paint color is probably the least of your worries.

As for that, I called my insurance and they said that an insurance adjuster will come by the yard to assess the damage and then get back to me on an accurate quote.

I want to go to a good shop and i've been researching.

I found two places:

Gabriel's Collision Center and Precision Auto Works.

Both look great. Hopefully I can bring my car there without any problems.

I worry about that every day especially driving through the Bronx where people have absolutely no concept of patience or right/wrong as regarding traffic laws. I kinda wish we had two threaded holes in the front like we do in the back for the tow hooks so I could have a nice guard made. I have a friend making one up for the rear for me since some genius parked by braille and cracked my rear bumper cover two weeks ago.

That happen by 20th ave? I live in Whitestone so it looks familiar...tough break man

Koa 03-22-2015 06:10 PM

what is dead may never die but rise up stronger.. blue will be better in no time! Good to hear you're physically ok, metal and plastic can be reformed.. human bodies harder to repair, and with higher chance of shadier repair shops for us flesh & bloods in this country rn

dude that sped off will get his in time :/

Happened right on the intersection (service road) of 20th ave and Whitestone Expressway.

I hate that area of road so much.

Thanks guys. I put this post up not to ask for sympathy, just in case anyone was annoyed on why I put this post up. I put it up because I love my car so much.

I don't think anybody was really annoyed (except me when you teased us with the pic and didn't tell us what happened). I think most of us feel for your situation.

Good. You can find out a lot about a place by reading online reviews. Good on you for doing the research and not just blindly trusting the insurance company to choose the place.

Looks repairable to me. I doubt you'll even be able to tell anything happened.

1future 03-22-2015 08:40 PM

Sucks to see. Looks repairable though. How far back were you from the lady who slammed on the brakes?

ARTBRZ 03-22-2015 09:37 PM

Oh man... Sorry dude.
