This is random topic but has anyone had any awkward encounters with other sport car drivers?

Here is my story. I was at a light turning left and I was minding my own business not doing anything wreckless like revving my engine just normal driving. I was making the left turn and I happened to glance over to a BMW, looked like a 335 series, and an asian guy (looked young maybe mid/early 20s), just gives me the stare down and makes a gun with his hand and pretends to shoot me, I saw his mouth move like trying to make the sound effect. My car is basically all stock except exhaust and intake, And no exterior mods. So idk what that's suppose to mean. Anyone gone through anything similar? Just curious.

Maybe reach down next to the seat and hold up an actual gun? Just me? :iono:

No, bad idea; that's a crime.

I had a guy rev up his huge lifted F150 at my little Ranger years ago. The light went green, he dumped it, u joint broke and I laughed my ass off.

Me being not only very shy and hate making eye contact with strangers on the road, pretended not to notice his long creepy stare. Once I pulled up to the gas station and this Honda civic (not a si) with si badges and stickers all spread around the whole car was leaving as I was getting gas. The car soon came back when I just finished. The guy looked angry and looked like he was yelling at me but I had no idea what he was saying. He gave up and I saw him take a pic of me in my car and drove off. I assumed he mistaken me for this other Asian girl who drove a WRB BRZ too in the city (this was during the time BRZs were still new). After that incident, I've been seeing him around on the road especially when I drive to work or from work. And even once he happened to be driving down my street when I just got home and parked my car in front of my house. He slowed down when he saw me.

You must be cute and catching his attention. :)

I had some guys in big lifted trucks that always hang out at a gas station I frequent give me weird looks when I walk/drive by them. Once they told me to slow down in the parking lot when I wasn't going fast. Yesterday, as I was walking back to my car, they were revving their engines and blipping the throttle trying to get my attention. They probably wasted more gas doing that than I use in a day. I've never said or done anything to them, but I guess they have to find a way to make them feel better about their tiny....personalities. I don't know why else their brand new trucks would need to be high enough for me to drive under just to hang out in a parking lot every Friday.

Happens to me all the time. I'm in a countryish area and lots of big trucks.

Drivers frequently think people are staring at them when it is actually the car they are looking at. You even said it was still pretty rare at that time so he may have just wanted a pic to show his buddies what he spotted.

Back many years ago when I had my 64 Impala SS convert my girlfriend would complain all the time that people were "staring" at her. My answer was always "no they are just looking at the car. Now put your shirt back on and get down into your seat" Oh, wait, in hindsight...!

Hey!!!!
No flirting with Choco.
We can't have her lose her "just one of the guys" status.
I am now her forum dad and need to know your intentions before you continue.

Talk about awkward.

This actually happened to me a couple days after I first got my car. Was filling up at a gas station and some guy in a banger SRT-4 Neon pulled up as well, he asked how much boost I was running. To which I got a puzzled look on my face and said none. He didn't believe me and tried to press the issue, and I insisted "none, bro". I don't know, looking back on it, maybe he was trying to get me to ask how much he was running, but I have zero interest in the SRT-4 line. Overpriced Neons with a bit of boost in them. I'm a firm believer that unless it's a hot hatch, performance cars should not be putting power down to their front wheels.

I was in Tulsa, a FRS pulled up to my left on the highway while we're going 60mph. Saw him rolled down his window so I did too and start a conversation while going 60mph! Both of us were yelling trying to figure what the heck the other was trying to ask. We chatted for a good 5 mins, gave each others thumbs up and continue on with our business.

When I went to originally purchase my FR-S at Scion of Louisville, they told me it had a Camry engine...

Now that I think about it, I have dashcam footage of this incident. Maybe if I upload it, you guys can try figuring out his intentions. :iono:

Is it weird how I can still think it'll make sense if I were a dude?
