I'm not sure I would be proud of and posting about drifting on a public road, but ok. :iono:

Sounds like a little drift at worst and with an auto at that!

amilhazes 09-17-2014 02:01 PM

Yea. I'm sorry. I guess I should return my car and get a Dodge caravan so I can not have fun on the road.

Clipdat 09-17-2014 04:31 PM

Haha, really? I'm sure your fiancée encourages you to drift on public streets too, right? She must be so proud.

Keep the nannies on and drive civil on the street. Take the drifting to the track or empty/abandoned parking lot.

Grats on your new ride! Maybe it's just my eyes or something but this shot make your car look like a 1:16 scale diecast. Lol

I was messing with my camera on my phone. Lol. And Clipdat, I was turning left onto a five lane one way street with no other vehicles around.

My fav budget mods so far:

- Whiteline front camber bolts (improves front-end grip) - $35
- Whiteline KDT925 diff cradle & outrigger inserts (reduces drivetrain slop) - $60
- Stoptech brake pads (better initial bite and heat resistance) - $60 F; $50 R
- Clutch pedal adjustment (lower clutch engagement point) - FREE

Others I haven't done, but you might consider:

- Whiteline Positive Shift Kit (supposedly improves shift quality) - $30
- Sharkfin antenna - $100
- Xenon HIDs - $200
- Clear sidemarkers - $50 (aftermarket) or $100 (OEM)

Congrats on the best color there is. Too much fun right?

amilhazes 09-17-2014 06:32 PM

I love driving it. And I love the blue yes. It is a very deep blue. Thanks for the parts! She already has a nice hid kit installed. I really want the shark fin antenna but it's a lil pricey. Also I absolutely want the TRD fender aero fins. They look so sexy

Wrong and wrong. Haha. I actually almost bought a lava. Had financing done and ready and all that, then the ultramarine popped up at a way better deal. Love it!

Mine was the complete opposite. Went in for an Ultramarine then got way better deal on the Lava.
My wife was PISSSSSED as the whole family's (Son, daughter, son in law, and wife) cars were blue and she always liked to make a big deal of that. Don't regret it though as the Lava is awesome in the sun and loads of people say "love the colour".
