My father is 63 and is like a child in my car. He absolutely loves it, but its harder for him to get in and out of it with a bad back.

The actual driving position is delightful, possibly the best of any car I've driven and that's saying something. The driving experience is pure fun. You can play with this car pretty much forever and never get bored. If acceleration is important to you then a turbo or mechanical supercharger is available to fix that. I like the low power at the moment. If you buy a 2015 then it is probably perfect right out of the box. Once you get tired of the stock rubber then fit better tires but I'd keep the Primacy's for a while doing this over. They aren't bad, quite a high quality tire even just inadequate to restrain this chassis which is the point I expect. My 2013 required Bilstein shocks all round to deliver appropriately controlled suspension and be aware that the ride is brutal, just not as brutal as say a Cayman. |
Former boss is 83, and he has a Ferrari 360 that he drives. Never too old.

I'm 63 and love my BRZ. I have a bad back, but I find the seats are great: just the right amount of lumbar support, and very supportive around the neck.
But yes, it can be challenging to get out of. I have learned a couple of tricks. First, its a lot easier to get out of the car if you can get the door opened all the way. And being a 2-door coupe, these doors are fairly long. So I look for a parking place that gives me plenty of space to open the door. Second, push down and brace yourself on the lower door frame as you get out; that takes the pressure off your back and knees. |

Try getting in and out of the car first, I've had coworkers in their 50s having trouble getting out of my car.

Men never get old for any car. go for it!

My mom is 62 and have no problems getting in and out of the car daily.

the fact youre that old and can even type on these forums, tells me youre not too old for this car. my parents are 50 and can barley turn on a t.v, now THEY are too old for this car :P

Never too old. Only issue is that it takes a slight amount of effort to get in and out, but once inside, its very comfortable and feels very natural to drive. I've never noticed and muscle/ leg/ or back fatigue or pain with driving..and I've been in the car 12 hrs straight.

I'm over 60. I love my SC 86, and I track it as often as I can.
If you can get in and out OK, then go for it and enjoy!! |
All ages should apply

I turn 60 in December and got my 2013 limited brz nov 2013. Getting in seems to be easier than getting out....
But I wonder if that is because I hate to get out of it! |
