Houston:

Traffic
Humidity
Heat
Bad drivers
Decent dim sum

Could be worse. You could've been moving to San Antonio.

Houston 86 Club.

Don't knock on us for wanting to eat and drink. We do attend major meet ups and have a back roads run on Sunday.

Having lived in San Antonio and moving to Austin because I didn't like it there, I disagree.

At least it's not west Texas, though.

San Antonio drivers are fucking insane. For the 45 minutes I drove through there, i was almost killed 6 times by people with pulling out in front of me, turning in front of me, or merging into me.

As stated before, welcome to Texas and H-Town. At least you are coming towards the end of summer, cause they are brutal and long. Humidity is a real factor, along with the mosquitoes. But you can't beat the up and coming food & brewery scene.

What's wrong with Lubbock? You don't like driving your car through a foot and a half of water when it rains, dust storms, and locals who tip less than the college kids at restaraunts, and a dry county? :P

Actually, Lubbock became wet circa 2009.

The dust storms and floods though... spot on

Austin has Dallas beat on food and brew, but not by much. :)

Lived in DFW for 18 years, and Austin now 7 years.

Lubbock is a lot different now. Marsha Sharp has been expanded, Tech has been expanding, they've got a lot more restaurants and chains all across Lubbock and near campus (Torchy's, Alamo Drafthouse), wet county, etc. It's actually a pretty nice place if you don't mind being almost died from the weather.

I'll head back out there for a Tech game at some point. After watching the UTEP game.... ugh.

LOL same. Wanted to go to the Arkansas game this weekend, but thinking of going to Formula Drift instead.

Because we're gonna fall apart after the 1st half of the season anyway. It's a Tech tradition.
