only Subaru builds these boxers right honestly. fullblown, map, etc etc are all pretty damn good and have worked extremely hard to learn the magic of properly assembling a boxer engine. If I needed a short block assembled it would not be by a shop new to boxer engines. Just read frs300's thread about headstuds being hand tight by the same shop.

It's certainly not rocket science either. Subaru has no shortage if internal issues as well with their products. Skill, attention to details, the correct tools, and the ability to follow process is the key. Even the best of engine builders have things go wrong. There are a lot of variables in this game. I am by no means defending the company that did the work because we all know the back stories but as mentioned we also do not know any of the details.

People need to post to that page and let all those folks know about toni and FA20 club's exploits...he's killing FA20's left and right!

his crank case vent line isn't attached to anything.

I can't even really feel bad for these fools going to TR3/Toni/FA20Club anymore.. I know I have personally been banned/kicked out of a few Facebook groups for trying to warn people about going to them, lol. Honestly, I am surprised nobody has gone and burnt down the shop.

I learned my lesson a long time ago. I went to a small shady shop because they were offering unbeatable prices on a building my motor and stroking it even. Took them 1 year to finish the motor and when they delivered my vehicle to the dyno shop where my tuner and I were waiting to strap it to the dyno and tune the new motor... they start it up and instantly we hear massive rod knock and it is spewing out smoke.

6 months down the road they finish rebuilding it and it at least ran. It had all sorts of issues and smoked a bit. Issues were getting worse the more I drove it... Ended up just selling the car as is.

Unfortunately there are quite a few people who aren't on the forums and it really does suck that some people don't do the research before jumping the gun on a shop. Still feel sorry for those who attend there not knowing there history. Those who know and still go... that's a different story

Disclaimer: I am not defending the shop.

There are more than a few built engines, built buy others that have spun bearings.

the bearing oil feeds, and rods I think are the most concerning parts on this car when it goes under some heavy PSIa on an otherwise stock motor.

ringlands, head gaskets...I have heard of rather fragile hypereutetic pistons, and bad bearing oiling. I'm not sure if that's a boxer motor weak point, as I haven't researched much into the bearings of porsche motors. Even so, the crankcase oiling was much better in EJ motors than it is with this one.

Should be posting those pics on their Facebook page and on Instagram and tag them.
