Please tell me Prime did a MAF/SD hybrid tune and not just MAF.

I wasn't sure if he had the JR CARB tune or a custom tune from Prime.

Sorry I forgot to add that I will be looking at suspension options after i get everything done. Might want to call JRZ to see if they want to set something up on the car. I am not really interested in lowering the car too much as I live in NYC and the roads are terrible.

I have Ohlins R&T and love them on street and track. I'm in zip 10803 if you want to stop by and go for a ride one weekend to check them out.

I dont think it was the carb tune. ill ask to double check. I was in such a hurry to get the car on the truck, i basically told them to make sure it didnt blow up on the trip.

That would be awesome. Maybe we could set something up in August when I get back.

Ping me when you're ready

@Parikh1234 glad you are enjoying the car. Looking forward to phase two and getting some more power out of her.

Going to grab your dyno sheet right after I type this.

As for the tune, JR = Jackson Racing, Jr = Junior :D

Junior though does indeed tune hybrid SD/MAF, this is not the CARB tune offered by Jackson. Since the car was heading out west, we filled her up with 91 octane and tuned her for that.

Heres an update. Cars been running ok. The tune seems to be decent. Ive driven a few other JR SC BRZs and they are significantly better. Also been having some major problems with my clutch, now amplified by the cold weather outside.

Luckily I drive one of the evos in the winter, but when I take it out of the warehouse I am getting this:

Might be time to find a new shop :( The guys at prime seemed nice though, but I dont have the time to keep taking the car back. I just want it done.

I am probably going to give it to IveyTune as Ive trusted him with 2 of my evos and havent had a single issue in over 100k miles highly tuned.

Try Mike (@moto-mike) at moto-east, I also have JRSC and went through the same ordeal. Mike's tune transformed the car. Well worth the ride to eastern PA.

Yeah, Im gonna call him after the holidays and see if I can truck the car out to him. I dont have time to drive out there. But I want to check with Sean Ivey first to see if he can do it. He has one of my evos right now so I have to go there anyway to grab it.

You can now say "I told you so!"
