Noise will increase going to larger tubing most likely, and the price will likely be more expensive to purchase.

You can never have too much exhaust on a turbo car, as the engines like zero restriction. But I think at the power levels the wide majority are running (sub 400whp) a 2.5" system is plenty adequate.

Prob with almost every exhaust, is they have to try and work with stock placements, so they can bolt to stock locations, and other manufacturers components.

My mate made this baby up in a few hours. And its the straightest 3" exhaust I've seen for our car.
