you need to relax buddy. i sure as hell dont care anymore. do what you want to the other forum members. but stealing 30% of a sale for restocking is just plain rude and ill have none of it. Youd probably go ahead and sell it as new again anyways and make even more money on it. Hell you probably sold me it used in the first place for full price. Oh well. lesson learned

It's pretty standard policy in the industry to charge restocking fee for big parts. That would make no sense otherwise, as stated by Evasive. Now, Evasive is offering you a deal, wether or not you take it is your prerogative. But don't bitch about it on the forum like they are the antichrist, because they have a very good reputation. Keep your drama to yourself and act like an adult. You bought the part, you deal with Evasive, but no need to publicly discuss the issue. |
I'm pretty sure this is prom guy with a new name. Dude just wait a little and I'm sure someone will buy it from you. Things can take time to sell. Ripping on an awesome vendor that is so close we can drive to it and pick stuff up (how awesome is that), doesn't help anyone. Just makes you look dumb.
A. Keep and sell privately. B. Eat the 30% and return C. The best option, return the damn thing for full store credit and buy something else. That's pretty awesome for them to do that. Anyways, end rant. Have a lovely day. |
Evasive Downforce Front Lip
I can discuss the issue wherever I damn please. That's my prerogative. You can choose to ignore it just as easily. I don't see what all the hype is about. And industry standard or not. That's an awful way to make customers want to come back. Treat them like shit and expect them to buy more? Ya right.
Anyways I'm over it. I'm done talking about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
If it was new and unused why didn't you just refuse shipment?
Also why did you wait 2 months? Most companies would just tell you it's past the return policy fuck off. It's obvious they're trying to help you by letting you swap it out with a full refund. Even then they risk losing money in the return. The hype behind this is because you're one of those people who wants everything your way and it's not possible. Read terms and conditions if you can handle a restocking fee don't buy anything ever again 99% of companies have some kind of restocking fee in place. |
Every vendor, every store and and every business in the world has return policies. That's life it's full of rules it's all our jobs to know them and make smart decisions based on them is all?
|
People that do not work in a business that ships often do not realize how much time and effort it takes to complete a transaction and in this case, undo a transaction. A vendor is paying someone (probably hourly) to fulfill and ship orders. It involves locating the item on the shelf, making sure it's packaged adequately for shipping, and creating a shipping label/shipping the item. When something is returned, they're paying the employee to take off the shipping labels, do the correct paperwork, adjust inventory in the computer system, and put the item back on the shelf.

OP: You're either trolling pretty hard, or you're willfully making an absolute ass of yourself. You want to return an item for a full refund, 2 months after you ordered it and without paying the restocking fee.
Also, it took me all of 3 seconds to find their return/exchange rules on their website, so you clearly didn't bother looking, which is odd if you're going to be spending $300+ on something. Now that you've taken to a public forum to likely pressure Evasive into taking the return for nothing, they have made you a generous offer. And your response is telling them to "calm down" and stop screwing their customers. You've done nothing but attack everyone in this thread, you clearly don't care about the money, you just want to complain about a company's very clear and forthright return and exchange policies that you didn't pay attention to until now. You're the ass in this situation, OP, not Evasive Motorsport. That you haven't been banned yet for being unnecessarily confrontational is amazing to me. |
^^^^this guy is right OP like it or not. Best at this point to admit you made a mistake and apologize really. Moving forward ensure to always read and understand a vendors return policy prior to buying something then you'll never be in a situation like this again.

It's just a silly situation to be in. Someone is likely paid a flat rate per day or per hour regardless of how long it takes for them to actually put the item back on the shelf. A percentage fee is just plain stupid. Make it a set amount and there won't be any issues. If I bought something for 5 bucks I'd want a more fair return policy. 30% 90% 3000%. It all means the same thing. That they don't care and that they just want to make money. Well I don't want to lose money. And I waited 2 months for reasons that wouldn't make your responses any different so I won't bother explaining. But in any case. The customer comes first everyone knows that. If they want to include some bullshit return policy that's fine. But I'm not doing to be a part of it. The end. Mods delete. You are all very disrespectful

It's the vendors responsibility to be up front and have their return policy noted on their sute which they did. It's the customers responsibility to read it, understand it and if not satisfied with a product to return it within the terms given by the vendor. Which in this case you did not.
So there is no explaining your situation again it's pretty obvious man. Why is it so hard for people to admit and identify making a mistake and simply being an adult and say "sorry"? That's the high road and the right thing to do IMO. Everyone makes mistakes to error is human. To ignore or deny and obvious mistake is stupidity on it's own. No one here has been disrespectful I think most are just shocked that you have not identified this is your mistake in not following a known thing with purchasing a product. Then to come online when 99%+ other folks know the rules in buying from vendors in this regards and lastly after it's been pointed out clearly and even a middle road offered by vendor "which they didn't have to" you still are upset and trying to somehow believe everyone's the enemy and that you somehow are correct in your post to begin with?? I think you'd be surprised if you just simply said "Hey guys I'm sorry, I messed up and also I learned from this mistake, my apologies to the vendor and members" That's the right thing to do but hey you are your own animal. Be well... |
