I bought a AT shift knob for the impreza 08+. If it doesnt fit on my BRZ, I will install it on my AT impreza :)

I installed the Auto Shifter from the Impreza 08 on my Auto limited brz. The only problem is that I don't have a clean way of holding the boot up because the old oem shifter had this nice groove to hold up the boot.

Any ideas? Also the boot has this foam ring in it that I don't want to destroy.

Any ideas?

Zip ties under the boot work perfect normally. To get to this, you just pull the shifter trim ring up and then put the ziptie on the shifter. We have been on the verge of making a version just like you show. If we come out with this, we will just trade you out the adapter!

Jeff,

I ended up using a rubber cone washer to help hold the boot up. I use electrical tape around the shifter rod to make sure the rubber cone washer did not move around (both top and bottom), not all the load is on the electrical tape as the rubber washer is snug on the rod.

But I will take you on that offer on that adapter when you make it :)

Thanks!
