@fatherfork it would be great if you could make me one too. I can buy the other stuff like the led strip and extension and bolts, but if you could make me the wood and metal frame part that would be super awesome. PM me if you'd be willing and I'll pay you $$. :) I don't have the right tools to do the metal and wood.

Thanks! And thanks for the plastidip suggestion. I'm going to try it.

Thinking of making some and selling them?

How much interest would there be if these cost about $100? This would include the light and all hardware. It would be plug and play.

malubawla 03-25-2014 11:18 AM

that is a good price I think

Perhaps you could wrap in alcantara??? Just a suggestion...

EDIT: Forgot to add... Awesome job! The night shot really looks good! Why didn't Subaru/Toyota do this?!

wawawoowee 03-25-2014 02:08 PM

Awesome! I am down for it for the $100 you mentioned as well.

Donroy 03-25-2014 02:14 PM

I would definitely support this being $100! This is awesome work, great job!

If you could sell all the necessary components (including the felt wrap cut to size for the rear deck, and then also wrap the wood around the light) I would be all in if it were plug and play at $100.

Just make sure to watch how you do this so you don't get banned...

Great job, I'd definitely be down to buy one off you. Your windows don't appear to be tinted. Do you think that LED bar would be bright enough to be noticeable behind a 20% tint?

Pabloc 03-25-2014 03:21 PM

I'd be in for $100!!
- a really nice, clean solution to correct a futzy design element
