I was on the same boat as you. I was looking for used BRZ limited but found that they are in the 23k-25k range. I then came across a local dealership selling NEW 2013 models for just over 24k. Sold!

Look around, there are probably a few dealerships trying to get rid of 2013 models at a good price!

Yeah, I've used that program before. Pretty cool.

thanks for reminding me. Almost forgot.

shameless plug: If anyone wants a BRZ that has less than 16,000 miles, PM me. I bought the car in June 2012, so you can do your annual mileage use on that :D

Paid 22k for a limited brz. World rally blue, 6 spd, chrome fender garnish and bumper appliqué. Oh and 9k miles. Just what I was looking for :). Well the garnish will be gone soon lol

Agree with this; since the twins are a sports car, you need to tweek your usual mindset about car values. Where a Corolla, tC or Impreza may drop in value will not be where these will fall. It'll be more mileage based, since babied used twins will be worth more in the long-run. However since I don't see these as becoming a classic over time, an engine bump int he future will drop overall prices so even if you don't plan to upgrade, it's worth keeping an eye on.
