This thread hurts... I have a SHIT ton because I got hit with hail while I was at work this year :( haven't got a chance or the cash to take it in through my insurance.

Oh, NONE of my other cars have the number of dings or scratches that this car has... and it's the BRAND NEW CAR!!! My 88 Starquest has less dings...

I got a door ding within the first week I had mine. Other than that 1 rock chip in the bumper and a windsheild chip. I have had mine almost a year now

I have three dings, one done by me, one by my wife, one done by a granddaughter ...... all done while the car was in our garage .... so, no one to be mad at .... http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...ages/smile.gif

I've given up on fussing about shit like this. Driver door has a big ding on it (the dent itself, I probably won't fix), door also has paint scratches on it from the cloud of gravel that caused said ding. The bumper has a few scratches here and there from who knows what. I've scraped exiting parking lots on the sides of hills, exiting driveways, etc. I had a scratch on my bumper from an apartment contractor who backed into the car, but I was rear-ended a month later and, well, the bumper is brand new. The trunk lid has a scratch from where the police officer set his clipboard down on it. And of course the paint has swirls (yay black paint) from the dealer cleaning the car before I got it.

No point in fussing over the details. It's not a showroom car, and as long as the two little humps over the wheels look good, that's all I care about behind the wheel. The car is much more fun driving it than standing outside of it and staring at it. Granted, I am getting the paint fixed on the door - the dent isn't bad, but really scratched up paint *does* look pretty bad. But the little things aren't something to really worry over.

Several scrapes on the underside of the front plastic- I just can't seem to stop short of high curbs.

One tiny paint chip on the rim of the fuel filler hatch- I did that one myself too, but a little touch up paint made it invisible.

A fairly large stone hit the hood on one of my trips to West Virginia. It hit the plastic film and damaged it, and there is a slight ding (aluminium hood dents rather easily). There may not be any paint damage because of the film.

C'est la vie. Car is just over one year old, 7,600 miles or so.

I washed it today and noticed little a few little chips on the front bumper. Only have about 1,500 miles. I think I notice it more than I did on past cars because I like this one so much more.
