So what's so great about GW2 or even WOW? Are they similar or which do you guys think is better?
I've played Diablo and Diable 2 before but never got to into that stuff. The last PC game I was into and was good at was StarCraft.

I'm there for the PvP which is definitely better than most MMOs. I've had my share but this will be interesting. ;)

I'll definitely try it out. I really liked Rift but got burnt out on it, PvP was good there too. I just don't have time for endgame raids and all that.

My all time favorite MMO was FFXI, but I had tons of time to play then. I like GW2 because of no monthly payment and it looks to be pretty casual.

I've always had a really negative view of WoW players and I stand by it. They're skill-less players who have to use "add-ons" to help them see what's going on. I would've respected them more if they didn't allow that kind of garbage but they didn't. Plus it was more towards 'casual' players which pretty much suck when they decide to help a faction/race vs faction/race territory fight. Or in PvP when they demand everything.

I loved guildwars because you REALLY had to pay attention to what was going on during the whole fight. You either coordinate with your teammates well to take out the 'priority' first while subduing the others. Sometimes during big arena fights where its 8v8v8v8v8v8 your single team of 8 can survive the rest if you play smart. Similar to SC where its like chess.

I have expectations that in GW2 the PvP would be different since you no longer have a dedicated healer or 'the holy triangle (DPS, Tank, heal). Everyone fends on themselves with your own heal. Its the matter of where you move yourself and where you are to your team that will allow you to get the advantage.

I could get REALLY in detail with this but it would make me more of a nerd than I already am. :P

P.S:

FOR THE OVERLORD!

I actually like the monthly payment since the game developers are more inclined to do what their customers (players) want fixed. If they don't they lose money. Plus it keeps lots of children away; however, it seems like GW2 will attract kids anyways since there's a 'casual' way of playing the game.

With this expansion pack method it forces people to buy their new update without it your at an disadvantage, but gives the company a lot of leeway to add what they want new. Which doesn't bother me.

Hoping to win some big money in this game. BIG MUNIEZ! So I can put it towards the BRZ or a new home. :)

Hm GW is sounding pretty sweet, I might have to check it out even though I haven't played an MMO that I liked so far. I do remember liking the GW beta when I played it way back when, but I never got the full game. But I'm thinking Diablo 3 will probably consume my entire life like every other Blizzard game that has come before it, so I might not have time for anything else :D

This sold me on buying it.

Btw I don't think WoW is that bad to be honest. I did play for a year and a half before quitting. Though PvP was pretty bad in WoW, PvE is a different story, I find that PvE in WoW was just an experience that other games couldn't challenge.

I mainly quit because the game just got boring once you did most of the raiding...

Eh, I'm in both the GW2 beta and D3 beta. Diablo 3 is so much more fun to me. I've been in the D3 beta for 6 months now, and seen it in it's various stages. This recent build is by far the best. I can't wait for the 15th.

I used to play WoW with friends, and we'd try to do things you weren't supposed to do like 4 manning 5 man things with a priest, two rogues, and a pally. I've quit for a long time, but the Mists of Pandoria have intrigued me. I like the new flying dragon models. They're gorgeous. I'm thinking I'll pick up the exp packs finally, and play the story stuff, level up, do the quests for the dragon, and then quit again.

Well everyone is a nerd or has a nerdy side in their own way. :happy0180:

I never cared to get into wow since it seemed you'd have to put a lot of time into it and I feel like I would lose my life to it. So that's my main reason why I don't want to get back into these type of games.

However I would consider getting back into starcraft, but I haven't heard from anyone get into or felt wowed by the 2nd installment. Though it sounds like GW2 is similar and I do like strategy type games and will take up the opportunity to play chess when its brought up.

What really gets to me is I would most likely feel like a real "newbie" if I started up PC gaming. But you talk about winning money, but I wouldn't know where to begin on that. I wonder if it's easier winning money while playing video games or just be a bully and take nerd's money. :bellyroll:
