Rt. 26, and 555? :D

I lived down there for a while. Amazing roads. That's where I broke my FRS in, shifting below 5000 of course.

And Rt 800 south of I 70, Rt 260, Dalzell Rd, the western part of RT 78, the list goes on. Low traffic, 55 MPH speed limits in most places, well maintained for the most part. They are all great and range from high speed sweepers to Dragon like tight stretches. Truly a paradise for a sports car or motorcycle enthusiast and for the most part relatively undiscovered. SE Ohio is home to Car and Driver's favorite public road test loop. It is interesting to see Ferraris, Lambos, Jaguars, Porsches, McLarens and Aston Martins blasting through the woods on those country two lane roads.

I really can't enjoy going to the limits on those super twisty roads. You have to have a certain lack imagination to do so. After driving long enough, you learn to anticipate the possibility of all the things that could be just around the bend. In my case, it has been elk, moose, deer, horses, cattle, porcupine, people, accidents, police scenes, fallen boulders and trees, gravel and mud and drivers in the wrong lane. I just can't suspend my imagination long enough to really take the car to the limits without a clear view ahead.

So #10 is tollway 130 east of austin, and I'm honestly surprised by this.

It seems the only thing the editor took into account was the 85 mph speed limit. Yes, this road is fast. Yes, it is a very well paved road that you can go very fast on. Does that mean it's really that fun.

Well, I hadn't done it in the FR-S, but I've driven that road other times and can't see it being fun at all in an FR-S. Unless you planned on going significantly faster than posted speed limits..

Skyline Drive (Virginia) is 15 minutes from my house. Pretty, but boring in the FR-S. 35MPH is no fun.
But if you get off the mountain, and drive the winding back roads in Greene/Albemarle/Madison counties - :happyanim:

I've been on a lot of twisty roads in the 86, but one of my favs is the Corvallis Newport highway, especially during a light rain. mmm

The 3SIST3RS drive is addicting and many of us have been over a dozen times or more! It is beyond fun...gets your adrenalin going and the roads with the twisties are what our cars are designed for. If you live in Texas, it is a "must drive" opportunity.

I've been on some of those. Not in the FRS. Nachez Trace.... boring for frs. Chreohala Highway, the dragon.

I'm near the Kancamagus. It's an ok road, but high traffic most of the year. Most of the road is sweeping curves, except one section the engineers went a little nuts on. A couple sharp curves and a tight hairpin all back to back.

Sure. Here's one option (of many):
Drop off the Skyline Drive at Swift run gap on to 33 east, take a right on 810 (Dyke Rd) and ride that to Crozet - lots of up/down twisty roads and beautiful scenery - hardly any traffic. Stop & have a beer and lunch at Fardowners or maybe do a beer tasting at Starr Hill brewery. You can get back on the Skyline Rockfish gap entrance via 250 or 64, or not.

I think every american needs to take one of these two roads... and never come back
