I was at the Denver auto show because I had these same questions. From what I understand, you are correct. The BRZ will be priced more, the nice things about the Scion is that you can add any option you want while the BRZ only comes in 2 flavors.

Only thing I'm really considering is a spoiler depending on what type they offer. If it would delay delivery, I would just do it myself.

My salesman cautioned me to have everything installed at the dealer instead of the port. If it's port installed, it won't leave the port until all accessories have arrived and been installed. If there's a shortage and delay on wheel locks (for example), you're stuck waiting. However, if it's dealer installed, you can take the car as soon as they get it, and bring it back to have the accessories installed when they arrive.

Makes sense. Having not purchased from Scion before, didn't know you could specify. There was also some talk about it affecting warranty on the parts depending on who installs it.
