+1

I also get really pumped when I watch the Symphony of Science videos on YouTube, but I'm pretty nerdy, I guess. I'd post links, but I'm at work. :(

Also, watch some Ted Talks Seminars. They are personally extremely motivational and I usually find the drive to do something better with my skill set than to work a typical 9-5 just to pay the bills. Here's the link:

This is of particular interest to me... I believe Honda as a company has been in a decline ever since Soichiro Honda passed.

I commute over 3 hours a day. I play recorded TED seminars over the car's audio system a day or two out of the week...

I am, however, stuck in a 9-5... trying to find a way out of this.

I used to (read in my 20's) just want things to happen for me. Now, I am older, 33, and am taking the time to change my life.

I am motivated by others success stories, and by my desire to be a better person. I used to be out of shape and fat. I have worked all year to be more fit.

It didn't happen all at once. Part of the change happened when I realized that I needed to surround myself with the tools to be the person I wanted to be. I started running and built a gym in my house. I subscribed to a bunch of fitness mags. I also started paying attention to what I ate and drank.

I slimmed down to what I looked like in high school. Now I am bulking up before going on a cutting diet. I have set realistic goals, and am being consistent with my workout schedule. I find that looking at photos of other people's transformations help me stay focused on my goals.

If you are working on changing your life, my advice is to make a plan and stick to it. Being consistent is easy to say but hard to do. I know. So, it also helps to surround yourself with positive people with like minded goals. You are who you surround your self with.

Good Luck!:party0030:
